I am considering kicking the caffine habit!

I forget what side of the coke vs pepsi fence you're on but...
I find that caffine free coke tastes exactly like regular coke. (I'm sure pepsi offers a caffine free product too) and decaf coffee is not nearly as bad as people make it out to be.
"not a fan" falloff yeah...ok

you won't feel so icky. i remember coming outta job corps, where i used to drink a lotta pop everyday, and not feeling so sluggish after switching back to mostly water like i usually drink.

i still drink the occasional can or bottle of pop, but not as much anymore. i'm weaning myself off of it for good...but it's hard...pepsi tastes so good. redface

Okay, seriously, the few times I've quit coffee, after the initial withdrawal period (which is awful) I felt great. You have more steady energy throughout the day, your skin looks better, you tend to drink more water because you're not drinking as much coffee, and it's easier to get up in the morning.

I always end up going back, though. lol The buzz is just too goooood... drool

nod Do it. You'll be glad you did, even if it's not for good. Caffeine depletes your "reserve" energy from your adrenal system. A break now and then is good to replenish that.

Anything in excess is bad for u. The fact that u refer to your caffine intake as a 'habbit' suggest that you are consuming perhaps more than is good for u. I cut caffine out of my diet dramatically - i gave up tea and coffee, all fizzy drinks etc... now all i drink is herbal tea. Im not suggesting that this is the way to go, a little of what u like now and again is equally as good for u.

Moderation is what is needed.

Anx

i don't know about giving up caffeine, but i'm giving a lot of thought to giving up soda.

i'm being really aware of how much pop i drink at work during the day, and i'm going to try to cut it down to nil, and just have soda at home...and then eventually cut that out, too.

really, fizzy water and cranberry juice is just as yummy, and better for me. cheaper? i dunno about that. shrug

i won't give up caffeine altogether, though. during the week, i only have one small cup of coffee per morning, and that's it for the day. that's not gonna hurt me. and i LOVE that cup of coffee!

Oh....like relying on your inherent natural resources for a boost and not becoming dependent or remaining dependent on a drug to wake you up? Um, how about waking up to the sunshine every morning as I do to make me smile and just get up naturally because God is peeking through your window EVERYDAY gently stroking your body allowing you to feel the energy waking inside of you as you meditate into your day....YEAH...THAT WOULD BE MY POSITIVE!

WHAP!!
