I might be going to study realistic drawing Since I can't afford studying recording arts, there's a way I could get a student's visa without spending much on school by going to study Realistic drawing.
There's a school not far from me, and I've seen what they can do. It's pretty cool. And you learn everything from scratch. The only thing is, I'm not really interrested in it, and well, I'm practically blind. But if it gets me a visa - I guess I can't complain. Any of you ever studied that? any opinions on this form of art? any money to spare? Damn typos and people who notice them [Edited 3/28/07 13:07pm]

the closest i've ever been to study realistic drawing is doing still-life stuff when i was in school. i fucking hated it...it was pretty uninteresting for me and rather dull to be sitting at my desk, drawing shit like dried flowers or a super-old stuffed bird.
it ain't hard to do, you basically draw what you see.

Once I took a course thinking it would be drawing plaster statues and the second day this girl enters the class and undresses completely. The teacher noticed it and asked me :Is everything alright? I said yes but the truth is I couldn't move a muscle and my heart was about to jump out of my mouth I was so young and innocent

it ain't hard to do, you basically draw what you see. Well, for someone who can draw, it might be easy. I think the more difficult part is to know how to look at things. How to notice things, and learn technics of putting it down on paper. Though, yes. I'm not sure it's interesting enough to study for 4 years (or however long it'll take).

So I guess I should drop the idea, huh?

it ain't hard to do, you basically draw what you see. Well, for someone who can draw, it might be easy. not even. if you can write your name, you can draw. it takes a lotta patience and disclipine to learn how, but you can do it if you put your mind to it. i've been drawing ever since i was 5 years old, and i'm still learning. not really--if you're just starting out, of course you're not gonna be able to notice all the details and put them out on paper right away. your teacher will help you with anything.
