I'm trying to come out of a really bad fight with my girlfriend. I wont get into the details but I always wonder what other ppl fight about.

is it dumb shit or serious shit? do you get over it quickly or does it drag on? or do you never fight?

I really detest fighting and couldn't put up with someone long who liked to go at it over petty stuff. I tend to avoid conflict at most costs, but I'm not a wimp either and I do stand up for the things that are important to me.
So if I'm upset about something enough to bring it up, rest assured it's something serious.
That said, that doesn't even have to be a "fight" really.

Really, basically what Carrie said. I hate arguing with my significant other, and if I'm even going to press a disagreement, it's going to be over something that really matters to me and/or the relationship. And it will be kind and respectful.
