Confession time!!

Once in a great while, I get very down in the dumps. In the past three days, I've noticed a severe downturn in my mood. It's my day off, and all I want to do is get plastered drunk. This is bad, I know.

What do you do to lighten your mood?

Music.

And I drink, which can be a problem, if you have alcohol on hand and are able to drink rite at home all day every day. But I don't think theres anything wrong with going out with some friends and having some drinks, if ya wanna do that.

Hope your feeling better soon. hug

Whats wrong?

I've had to decide whether to stay with my current company or go with a new company. All of my coworkers have decided to go with the new company, so I am the lone wolf staying with the old.

I feel like I'm losing one of my sisters, and I got really really sad about it. It's what I have to do for my own career, but I still feel confused about whether I'm doing the right thing. I have a problem with letting go of people I am friends or lovers with (that would explain my reaction to your other thread about your friend), and I feel like someone has died.

It sounds stupid, but every once in a while, like with a break up, or a death, or having to say goodbye to friends, I get so depressed about it.

Sometimes, nothing helps.

But when it does, it's usually:

Calling family members and friends
Lying in bed and reading
Music
Cleaning
Running
Sewing

Yeah, with cooking comes eating it. Unlike you, I tend to eat when I'm depressed, and worry about the consequences later, which totally backfires every time.

Yeah, I think I'm just gonna take it easy today. My friend is calling me on purpose today, she says, to check on my sanity level. lol

Yeah, well it is a depressing thing. And there is no one way any one person grieves, and all losses are unique.

Your just gonna have to go with it, and mourne the way you already do.....

hug Good.

And I know what you mean about having to say goodbye to friends and how depressing that can be. I'm constantly having to do that because I go back and forth between Holland and the U.S. and I ussally stay away from one or the other for long periods of time. I'm always saying goodbye to people it seems. sigh

You know how people always say "everything happens for a reason" or "it will all work out in the end"? Well, usually I think that's a load of crap when I'm "in" the moment, but generally it turns out to be true. nod

It doesn't sound stupid at all.

Light some candles and let yourself feel what you're feeling.

And beer helps too. biggrin

To lighten my mood I go on the org.
I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

Running on the tredmill is my new discovery, I know it looks dumb, but try it out.
No less than 20 mins without stopping.
Stay off the white sugar!

Alchohol is no long term answer but it can become a problem, it's a much under-rated drug. You shouldn't use it to help you out.
