College

boxed

I have 1 year and a half left in high school - which means, 1 year 2 think about what I'm going 2 do.
College sounds obvious, and a smart idea, but I know that is not my thing. I think music is what I should do, however, that may not happen... ever.
This breaks my heart but I have 2 take life as it comes. I'm scared of leaving high school, I still have no idea of what I'll do. I hope these vacations will help me 2 put my thoughts in order and make a decision b4 it's 2 late.

cry

Have you talked to a counselor?

Of course if you're in public school your counselor probably sucks, but you can always try talking to prospective college enrollment consulars. shrug

Hey I am a senior in college and going to grad school or law school is freaking me out! I am freaked out about affording grad school or law school and dumb entrance requirements! Ack! so much stress!
But on the bright side college is awesome experience. Trust me when you get to college you are going to be glad you are out of high school!

Maaaaan, I've got about two years of college done, and I've got a 4.0 GPA.

Why I don't finish defies all logic.

Keeping a 4.0GPA at my level is like a lot of work.

Too much work and research projects. I am like so stressed out. Like I had good A's and B's and then one C or D will mess up a GPA so fast. And it is so hard to bring up a GPA.

OK, not to be arrogant or anything....school has never been anything but a breeze for me. Really, if I apply myself to it, it's not a problem.

I know that sounds really bad, but seriously, if I could be a student for the rest of my life, I'd be in heaven.

Oh no it's cool. I know people that are like super smart and have GPA of 4.0 so congrats to you!
I started out with A's and B's then I got like three C's and two D's. No F's so far! But I am getting B's again.
I would be happy too if I could be a student for a while longer, but sometimes those essays are stressing.

Well, over here in there is not such thing as bad treatment. If U don’t mess with people, people won’t mess with U. That’s what I like about high school. And the whole popularity thing doesn’t exist over here either. But my classmates, however, sometimes I find amazing how immature and childish they r; they make me want 2 shoot them.
U c, the thing about going 2 college is that I don't know what my major is going 2 b, there resides my problem. I must know that even b4 I go check out what the requirements r. That's Y I'm scared; because I don't even know what I'm going 2 do.

there isn't an option to be undeclared at first, and decide your major later?

You should go to college. Take some general studies and some music courses. Network and find other people who want to play the kind of music you want to play. Form a band. Give it a try, maybe you'll just have fun but maybe it'll actually turn into something you can make a living with or even better than that.

But get the education too, because you never know what you're going to need later on in life and the more certificates and diplomas you have the better.
Education can give you the freedom to be yourself.
