I don't think I coul do that because I love school, and I don't know what I would do confused
I couldn't handle working @ McDonald's or retail or whatever. Plus, my mother would b pissed
Every time I mention music she responds, "then Y in the hell I'm paying 4 that private school?" neutral

music was the reason i left college (and i did go to music school during my college hiatus, although it was not a degree program). if that is what you would rather be doing, you won't get as much out of college because you won't want to be there. of course, there are a lot of colleges with great music programs. you could do that.

One of the really great things about college is that they have dorms you can stay in and then you get to do what you want to with your free time. Keep your grades up and then your parents can't complain about much.

If you really want to be a musician, you'll find a way to make it work.

Pain is something to carry, like a radio...You should stand up for your right to feel your pain- Jim Morrison

That's the bliss of education in the U.S. There's Junior College where you can take classes with a good teacher:student ratio and figure out what you want to do without the University fees. It's more affordable. You can then transfer and finish a Bachelor's degree.
When I took Western Civilization at the University it was stadium level. Great professor, kept the class under control. For mandatory classes, the student volume is high, thus the animosity. Most of the other classes weren't that crowded. Except art history. That was a pain in the butt. Always had talkers around me. This was before cell phones.
