Going to an air show today I'm taking my kids to the Air Force Base today to see the Thunderbirds. They are doing a free private screening for children with disabilities. We will see an airshow, then my chidlins will get to meet the pilots and get autographs! They have never been to an airshow before. I have only had them for 4 years. Got to get in all the fun "kid" stuff before they grow up!

ugh. Air shows bring back bad memories for me cuase I've had to pull gaurd duty for 2 of them. Backing in the sun from pre-dawn until evening (15 hour days)
Then after the show, pulling trash detail to clean up after nasty ass civilians. But anyways, the best part of the shows other than the thunderbirds is the F-18 Hornet, and the A-10 warthogs. Make sure you catch those. The Hornet can balance in air and skip along hovering over the ground--it's also the only get that can start at a standstill and actually accelerate straight up--awesome demonstration. The warthog--well it's just cool the way it can maneuver. Kids love those planes as much as watching the Thunderbirds. If you ever get to see the Blue Angels (they normally alternate year to year) catch that. As for me, I stay the hell away from Air Shows.
