He looks so happy! biggrin

Alas time has robbed him of his hearing... So much of the circus went past him yet he seemed pleased with a house filled with family as in days gone by.... We have vastly departed from things they know and as they have spent most of the last 30 years within the family home they have lost track of all that now is and at that GLADLY. I suppose I understand even though i am a far departure from their ways and hope that with the coming years I will not dull as they have.

That said, my grandfather is an honorable man and lived his life always in respect of all around him. He thought he would pass a few years back and at his bedside he gave me his parting words. he honored me above the men in the family and in a small way above himself. In some way I think that he knows the heart of me better then others. He spoke of great respect for me and my path despite my selecting one he would have had no part of selecting for me. I was humbled far more then I could say and have spoke of it to no one. It will never leave me.

That said, I need to spend more time with him.

That is so beautiful, my eyes are moist.... Take those words and cherish them. I recently lost a friend and his incredible words of praise are what I still carry with me and I know that was his gift to me in this life. It's those who know you that you love the most, even if life (and death) prevents you from being with them as often as it would seem.
