There comes a point at which your hygiene becomes less your problem and more everyone else's:

My old school nurse never seemed to wash - instead she wrapped herself in crepe bandages from the first aid kits. The smell was beyond pungent. If you got ill at school, it was better to suffer than try and explain symptoms whilst only breathing out.

When she was eventually 'let go',they had to strip the wallpaper in her office to get rid of the lingering odour.

How scuzzy have you got? Or, failing that, how bad have people you know got?

For fuck's sake. I'm going to deck you with a 2x4 and drag you around in the sand.

When I had chickenpox in high school, I couldn't shower for a week. I'm sure I ripened up quite nice. I don't remember using deodorant daily, that's for sure.

Ok, so I am VERY hygenic.. but I can remember two times in my life I got pretty scuzzy as you so put it..

I remember when I went interrailling.. and I would wash every day twice a day and more but it was soo hot I can just remember the sweat on the back of my rucksack.. eww it was gross..

It was funny cos I went to a beach on the border of the south of france and north of spain.. and I every morning I would wake up in the train station.. well maybe just a couple of mornings and I would wash my clothes in the bathroom and lay them all out on a rock on the beach about 6am.. and swim naked in the sea.. oh it was fabulous..

well until some skanky arab came hassling me.. then I had to move onto a different country..

and another time

I hit major depression.. I didnt change, wash or eat for about a week.. that was really low and bad times...

OMG if i go a day without a shower i feel horrible

I was covered in them. My whole scalp, even. Just moving was torture--they'd pop all over if I moved an inch, no joke! I was 16, maybe it was my age. Warm water spreads them, and I had a fever so I was freezing and couldn't stand a cold shower!

By the end of the week, I was so exhausted and sick that I wasn't eating or drinking, let alone bathing. My dad helped me brush my teeth twice a day with a cup and a bowl, though. Just yuck. I still owe him for that whole ordeal.

Red, your nude sea swimming sounds divine! What a wonderful experience that trip must have been.

And yeah, I've skipped days without showering due to depression too. Several, a few years ago. And last year a had a real bad run, but I spent a lot of time just zoned out under the showerhead. God, that was a bad month.

A day without taking a bath twice it drives me mad...

It was really weird.. I just sat zoned out in the same clothes for days lol

and I KNEW if I took a shower and got dressed I would feel better.. but forces pulled me down.. and it seemed such an effort.. thank fuck, I have never been there again.. its a very dark place..
