My hair dryer only blows cold air now!

So Monday morning I go to dry my hair and only cool air is coming out of my hair dryer. mad I didn't drop it or anything, and I've probably only had it for a year. I don't know what happened. At first I was like, "Okay whatever" but after a few days of cold air only I'm so over it. My hair is fairly long and takes a while to dry anyway but now with cold air only it's taking even longer. sigh And yesterday I was late for work (as usual) and had to leave the house with out my hair being completely dry, even though I dried it for a good 20 minutes!! Then it was frizzy all day. neutral A good hair dryer is hard to find, too and I'm not gonna be able to get to a store with a good selection until this weekend. Not looking forward to another two days of cold hair drying.

pout

hmm, except it's about 40 degrees in NYC. (e.g. close to freezing), and that still doesn't solve the wet hair problem. wink

You should post a pic of yourself with wet hair. Then people would empathize with you.

BaByliss Ceramic hairdryer.

I have the 2800 watt but it comes in lower wattages depending on you hair's needs.

If you have a good amount of hair, then it pays to invest in a professional hair dryer that will last you FOREVAH!

You can read about the Babyliss here: http://www.folica.com/BaB...d1178.html

I also used to use a Gold-n-Hot hair dryer. It worked well but ceramic gets the hair dry quicker and with less frizz.

I've had that happen to me, too. Once I was halfway done with my hair and it exploded. sad

I had to run to the beauty salon down the street so they could fix me.

$64?!? I was thinking like $25...but I guess you get what you pay for. The one I have now is ionic so it's supposed to dry your hair faster and make is smooth. It's kinda big though so not good for travel. shrug

I'm at work right now...

I'm sure a pic of me with wet hair will really help the two of you (with your short hair) empathize with my dilemma.... lol

Did you take all the lint off of the hairdryer? Sometimes that helps.

There is no lint build up (I checked), but how would that affect the temperature? Wouldn't it just make it have less air pressure... sad

Turn on the oven, wait till it's warm enough, then use the hairdryer with it's back side aimed to the oven, so it'll suck all the hot air.

Either that or just put your head in the oven.
