or do you make 2 circles ontop each other to make your 8 ?

I make mine with 2 circles

Mostly, yes, but I'm also a nerd who practices other handwriting on occasion, when I'm writing out a card or invitation or something. My natural handwriting is gahstly. When I'm writing something someone else is going to see, I'm much more careful and a bit more stylized.
