there is one particular guy who works in the production area here when I walk past he stares and when he walks past the reception area here (it's adjacent to a set of stairs to walk up to the next level) to go up he will turn his head and stare all the freaking way till he goes past. The way he looks at me and talks to me frankly scares me but I'm out of here in 2 weeks so I'm putting up with it

well it's not that I don't like him he just gets on my nerves. He 's the kind of guy that when I first met him I knew he was an ass but I just took that in stride, now as the time has passed he really has begun to take some liberties with me. Like when I mention something that has totally to do with me, he corrects me like he knows better pissed

So I conducted a social experiment. evillol I stopped talking to him, I mean I answer but I don't engage. He tried sympathy, told me what I was upset about and I said no. the next day he said I was stressing about something that I really hadn't given a thought about, I said no. The next day to my delight he said I was PMSing falloff and I said no. Finally he asked if I was mad at him or something and I said no. So finally he starts asking the other guys what's wrong with me and they all say nothing, and he is confused, because really he is a pain in the ass know it all, so they don't engage either.

Finally he got the point, he sends me emails and tries jokes and finally said well I guess you are just too liberal to talk to me anymore. But then says I can't be liberal because liberals are stupid people (nice guy huh). What is so sad about him is that he is really "not that smart" so I can talk circles around him if I please, but I don't because then that makes me an ass wink

For instance one day he tells me I should look for a job in another field (DUH) and then tells me I am qualified for this particular job. I tell him I am not because the technology has changed in the 25 year since I last worked in that industry. He says no not that much. I said really? well my research says it has and he says, Yeah, yeah BUT... and I yelled at him "THERE IS NO BUT!!! the technology has changed in 25 years." he walked away muttering damn ok I'll shut up. lol

I just finally got tired of defending who I am and what I believe so I don't engage. We work together, but no more small talk, asking about the dog or the kids. It really feels great.

Used to work with a girl who was a real bitch to me and everyone else. Well, finally I one day I had enough of her talking down to me and trying to make me look stupid, so I got mad and told her off. Her attitude towards me changed after that day, because she knew I wasn't going to tolerate any shit from her.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

My Lieutenant is the classic example of a fucking "know it all, too many degrees for his own good" military officer.....the kind of person that LOVES to hear himself talk, who thinks that he is THE gear the makes the whole engine go and who will leave footprints on your back when there's some glory to be had, but will also stab you in the back if the kudos aren't forthcoming...

He just came back today off of R&R leave....he'd been gone 3+ weeks (counting travel time) and within the first 45 minutes of he and I sharing office space, I wanted to kill him....D E D!!! No ifs, ands, or buts...no "give him CPR and he'll make it" kind of death.....full blown "he's starting to decompose as we speak" death.....

I'm not especially violent, either, so when the overwhelming feeling to choke the shit out of him washes over me, I literally have to walk out of the office....

I work with this guy who smiles in your face but will snitch on you to management in a heartbeat. He is the biggest Uncle Tom i've ever met in my life. He's always trying to tell other people how to do their job, when he can't do any better himself. And he's always trying to turn people against each other. What makes it even worse is that he's an older cat in his 50's. I had to talk one of my co-workers out of beating him down after work. It sucks when you have to work with someone like that.
