Any soap operas which aren´t American or British are usually terrible. Here in Brazil there are TVs in resteraunts which show soap operas. Folks are glued. There was some soap opera which involved a wedding and the women in the resteraunt were in floods on tears!

Funny thing is, I was trying to think of a good alternative channel...and I can't. I mean, I personally don't frequently watch BET unless it's something I'm watching for a specific person. But I can't think of any channel that's almost constantly good...

I've always hated TV, since I lived with my aunt an uncle and thier fat kids would sit infront of that fucker and watch The Braby Bunch and stuff thier faces full of sodas and chips everyday after school until they went to bed.

I lived with someone for a while who constantly had the TV on. And was irritated if you didn't want to watch with them. Annoying. And I haven't ever been hugely into it, but when I like a show I watch it. At this point there's not much to watch. I go through spurts; for years I didn't watch TV, then I watched a little bit, and now I'm sliding back into the period where if I turn the TV on, usually I'm watching a tape or DVD.

Telemundo is so old school. Mun2 is the channel to watch--mostly reggaeton videos with a few rock en español thrown in here and there. And there is a reality show with the the two Latina VJs trying to become cultured. All in Spanglish 'cos lots of Latino kids these days are rusty with their Spanish if they even know it at all.

There's are three adjoining (sp?) rooms: The main breakroom, with tables and the tv, the lounge with loveseats and chairs ottomans, and the computer, and the room with the vending machines, coffee maker, ice maker, and microwaves. The people in the lounge try to sleep, but I don't know how they do it with the loud ass tv
