The Real World----LOL!!! What do u think of these ppl?

This one chick (dont know her name) is trippin' me out with her singing. She's totally gonna wear that voice out. She's out of this world with the vocal gymnastics!! LAWD! Shut UP, 4 the love of God!

And this chick Nicole--with the penciled-in eyebrows...EW! She has the worst attitude I've ever seen! Some1 gag that bitch and teach her some manners! Talk about a hothead! She's like me only without the good looks and sense of humor.

Malik--I like this guy. He's cool, he's authentic, he talks 2 the white boy. lol I really like him. Smart guy.

The white guy (also dont know his name)- I have mercy on any man that has 2 deal with Nicole's trifling ass. God save him!

The other black girl (ditto)-- she's a conniving little witch. Can't stand her---how can u possibly claim 2 understand Nicole? The bitch is not understandable! She's irrational and argumentative, and she always plays the race card. She seems 2 have a rulebook on how 2 argue.
1. Play the race card 2. exit the argument 3.ignore everything the other person is saying.

The white girl ( dunno her name either)- Hmm..I dunno. She's kinda neutral, it seems.

(Im in my friend's room watching tv while they're away. I havent seen The Real World in ages! cool)

isn't that the Real World from two seasons ago...ya'll let. Nicole has self-esteem issues and that's why she hides behind the make-up and Coral finds it easier to lash out than be real. The Real World is about 18-24 year olds finding themselves and who they are. I'm so glad no one had a camera on my ass at 22...I'd be the angry, black, pregnant girl...about to kill everyone on the planet...then go into the confessional crying and blame everyone for why I HAD to kill them for fuckin' with me while I'm pregnant.

sigh

for better or for worse depending on which side of the fence you are on with Reality Based TV:MTV's THe Real World Spun off all these type of shows on the Major Networks.MTV did this Show 11 Years back&it took the Majors almost 10 years to get in on it.

as for the people on the Show? well they proved they could market&Sell them way before any Concept for Ozzy Osbourne&Family,Annie Nicole Smith,Liza,Puffy,etc...the key is the Andy Warhol Concept of 15 Minutes of Fame.some though have extended it.I Can't stand the Real World they always painting Brothers in a Badd Light&have the most basic Arguments&things to trip over.however the Locations aren't a joke.I give MTV props on that the Cribs the people get are IMHO far better than MTV Cribs which jacked Robin Leech's Long running show.in Hollywood everybody is GLued in on Everyone always been that way.

I once interviewed three former members of "The Real World" for my college newspaper. I didn't care for them much at all as I thought they were assholes who somehow thought they were special because they were on tv. But I couldn't exactly print this, but I thought I gave a few "hints" in my story.

Anyway here is what I wrote (and yes I did use the phrase "morning wood" in the newspaper):

If MTV has taught the "Real World: Seattle" cast anything, it's how to be fashionably late, just like rock stars. Rock stars that like to sit around and discuss their emotions.

Hundreds of fans, mostly women, waited anxiously to see Janet Choi, Lindsay Brien and Nathan Blackburn. Disaster was imminent, as only Janet and Lindsay entered the "Oprah"-like stage, decked out with junior Aaron May's furniture. Over a half-hour later, Nathan casually sauntered down the aisle of the North Hall auditorium to the droves of screaming women. His flight from Cincinnati had been delayed due to the fact the passenger door flew off his plane in mid-flight.

But the tardiness was overlooked in favor of high-order entertainment.

"We love 'The Real World'," said UW students Angie Seaman and Katy Lambert. "We're going to be on it some day. It gives you a glimpse into other people's lives."

The trio put that "glimpse" into perspective, talking about the lack of privacy due to an abundance of phone taps, cigar-sized video cameras and the constant annoyance of vulturous cameraman watching their every move.

"There are times when you're pissed off, and you just want to tell the cameraman to '(Explitive Deteted) off'," Janet said.

Lindsay found a way around this constant badgering by taking refuge in a hotel across the street that the film crew didn't have access to.

Nathan said the contract didn't allow much leeway.

"They have your ass every which-way," Nathan said. "The contract (to be on the show) was as thick as the Bible."

All three added that they knew what they were getting into and knew that there would be constant attention. This constant attention led to the on-show breakup of Nathan and his girlfriend, which he later regretted. He added that he wished there could have been a hiatus in the relationship as opposed to a split in front of millions of MTV faithfuls.

"Every relationship that started on the show has been broken up," Janet said.

In less significant "Real World" issues, the audience asked questions regarding the other cast members, specifically Irene's mental stability, Steven's anger management and David's girth (Janet marked off about 11 inches of her arm as a visual aid). All three said that the cameras made the cast look pretty uncaring towards the others, specifically Irene, who is on the road supporting her new book, "The Surreal World," which is all about media manipulation.

According to the cast, MTV had to edit 1200 hours of video tape down to one show.

"The TV made her look happy one minute, then mean the next," Lindsay said. "It was actually a very gradual process."

Janet agreed, saying they offered Irene support.

"They cut it up to make it look like we were uncompassionate," she said. "It was weird because she deteriorated right before our eyes."

The ladies of the show also spent some time discussing the contest between the show's men to see who was the best-endowed.

"It became a competition," Janet said. "(The guys) were walking around the house with morning wood."

Nathan retorted to the penis discussion by asking Janet if she knows what he did in her bed, to a chorus of laughter.

To go along with the constant camera observation came the editing needed to condense a week's work of real life into a pretty little television show. Janet said that when she watches the final product, it doesn't always correlate with what she went through.

"(The show) went through massive editing," she said. "We'll never look at in in 22-minute segments like you do."

The sentiment among the cast members was that their 15 minutes of fame was quickly counting down. All three acknowledged that the attention is going down considerably, and they already have plans to move on with their lives.

"Everyone gets a few offers," Lindsay said. "But you don't want (the show) to define you."

With all of the invasion of privacy involved, all three gave their personal approval to their stint on television.

"It was a lot of fun," Janet said. "You just really had to make sure you were secure with yourself."

Entertainment Chair Jim Cleary felt that the event was very successfull and "worth every penny," even though the event didn't fit in very well with the Unity in the Community activities.

"Originally, we tried to wrok it into Unity, but it didn't work," Cleary said. "If it contributed to 'Unity', all the better...but if you look at the diversity of the (audience), there wasn't any."

Student reaction to Janet, Lindsay and Nathan was mixed.

Many students though it was a fresh, new show that deserved their attention.

"It's different from a soap opera," said senior Rachel White. "They're real people."

Although many students showed up over an hour and a half before the scheduled performance because "Nathan is hot," some students, such as sophomore Brook Newmaster, felt that it was a complete waste of time and money.

"It's like country music," she said. "It's just irritating and it makes me want to twitch."

Others didn't like the entertainment value.

"It's an utter waste of tuition dollars and serves no purpose," said freshman JPat Coughlin. "It's just a bunch of rich kids whining about their problems that no one cares about."

I haven't watched the real world for a long time now, it became too boring!!!
I remember when Mike from the real world from England came back from being on the show...he thought he was great and special and everything before he was on the show...he appeared at all of the haunted houses and clubs around St Louis, they would advertise on the radio that "mike from the real world" would be there!
I used to be his stepmom's hairstylist...I feel so special!!! smile
