Hubby cooks meat/noodles, meat/rice combinations. Meat and bones are cooked, not raw. Dogs get Purina dry dog food as a supplement.
No food intolerences thus far. They get regular checkups with the vet with vaccines.

eraclito said: Katt can u explain more about BHA, BHT and Ethoxyquin
thank you I'll try 2 explain but im tired so u may not comprehend my rambling but i'll try, i never make sence when im tried...Here we goo BHA - Butylated Hydroxyanilose is made frm the p-methoxyphenol and isobutene, BHT - Butylated Hydroxytolene synthetically prepared from p cresol and isobtylene it was developed initially as an antioxidant 4 use with petroleum and rubber products, BHT & BHA is usually used together cause BHT is a load cheeper. BHT has been found to cause cells to divide rapidly and it is not permitted in food for young children in the UK. Ethoxyquin is a rubber stabiliser its been used in pet food industry 4 years as a food antioxidant, they add it 2 meat oils, fats in their initial preparation before the ingredents reach the pet food manufacturer they use it as a cost effective preservtive of the igredients. A lot of manufacturers use BHA, BHT and Ethoxyquin even those which state “no added BHA, BHT or Ethoxyquin” r still likely to have these chemicals in raw materials cause of the sources where they got the igredients from. I am unsure about other countrys yet thee law in the UK only requires manufacturers to declare materials added during the manufacturing process, so always ask where the igredients frm read labels. God ive rambled again I just know it [edit 2 say]P.S im typo [Edited 3/19/07 16:15pm]

We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. Maya Angelou

personally, before u invest in an animal, you should research its requirements what type of enviroment they will need, food, lifespan and most importantly how big they will get and will u be able to accomadate it for its natural born life. pet stores are irresponsible and have been selling turtles for years to people who are clearly unable to give them the care they really need. are you ready for submission
