Tax Question My Boss tells me he's got a pretty strong idea that there's going to be some red tape with the Australian Tax Office when I go back to Australia... do we have any Tax experts in the house that know about what happens if you've been working overseas and come back?

All you gotta do is this:
When the customs people ask you say "i have not been working  " shake their hand with a $100 bill in yours and just let them take it.
You will be fine..... Or you will end up doing time for bribery of an officer of the Queen. Up to you | |

I had similar issues coming back from Malaysia but as long as its paid there is no issue UNLESS you try and claim it back for some reason, i would say just keep your P60 P45 P11D with you for going back. but like phil says, why would u pay tax, on money u have earnt elsewhere. are you ready for submission
