Favorite memories of meeting Orgers

Who has been your favorite Orger to meet? Who was totally different that you imagined? Who was just like you imagined? Who's left that you want to meet? Who was your first?

I remember meeting Dansa/Handclaps and jumping up and down. I remember meeting Dex and Ariel and Chico and thought how they were so different than here. I remember meeting Supa and thinking how much he felt like home. I remember how nervous I was meeting FunkMistress. lol

I remember meeting Tron and Beamie and Moonsongs and thinking how wonderful it felt to be around them.

and screaming. giggle that was awesome!

the first few orgers i met were eskomokisses, violett, dex, lolinex, newpowernorth, priana, psychodelicide, and another woman whose org username i cannot remember right now (her name was nicole, that much i remember--she took me to my very first paisley party). bunch of other old-school chatters, too, but i can't remember who they were either. i'm an ancient orger, i guess.

another fave moment of mine: meeting 'ness in chicago. horns

I'm a semi-newbie, and I've missed 3 opportunities to attend Invasions, so I've not met any orgers. Jerseykrs, shanti, renfield, protoge, and 2 others is roughly an hour to 3 hours away or so, but I haven't met them yet either.

The Miami invasion will be my first opportunity to meet them, and I'm very nervous. I can sometimes be quite talkative and joke alot, but sometimes (and I can't pinpoint it), I clam up and really don't talk alot. I'm not much like I'm perceived on this forum I believe. shrug

The first orger I will actually meet in real life, if I don't see Jerseykrs before the Invasion, is CarrieMPLS. She's spent years ignoring me, cause I wasn't "in" with her elitist crowd sigh, so I'm not sure how that will end up. But we're going to have to get along since I'll be joining her in Thailand after this invasion.

Chicago is on the list of places to visit in the states, but behind New York and Alaska.

But I do plan to visit Chicago.

Meeting you is the only specific meeting I remember really clearly, I think. At the wrecka stow. Just recognizing you and being SO FUCKING HAPPY to SEE you. biggrin

Everybody else was a bit of a blur. lol

Oh, no, that's not true. SUPA!!!!! When I walked into Karen's not-yet-birthday bash and saw Richard for the first time, it was one of the more delightful moments of my life. I believe there was screaming. I know there was hugging. biggrin

The Chicago Vinyl dig was something to be experienced, me and Handclaps were on this level where no one even could communicate with us, all we did was pass records to each other that we wanted/looking for without words. deep shit trust me..

hug mushy I want to meet you too, Stymie. One day we will. nod

I've met a good number of orgers now, mostly from the two celebrations that I went to. Can't remember everybody's name now, but they were all very nice, cool people to hang with.

i headed into winnipeg to meet purple thunder ~ she was my first and i am her only! giggle too bad we don't live closer. next up was my man... my heart was in my throat! nothing but wonderful memories of those first exciting moments. cool then in december i met freespirit. this woman is simply wonderful. mushy

some commonalities... i was fortunate enough to be invited into their homes and their lives, meeting friends and being shown around town. i would also say that i was always reassured with how natural and easy conversation was... it was a first meeting but it could have been mistaken for our twentyfirst. i also had a beer with all three! lol nothing like good conversation and good company sharing a nice drink. biggrin another commonality... my mother doesn't know what to make of this internet thing and was worried about me! lol

i am sure that i will meet the amazing cinistercee in the not too distant future cool and know that next time i go to phoenix i will have more time to meet up with pk and ness (and sin if he doesn't chicken out rolleyes ) i hope to be able to go to a minneapolis invasion eventually and have promised funkpill that i will stop in chicago when i drive out that direction. that doesn't even begin the list of orgers i want to meet. the world is just too damn big - either that or my wallet is too damned small biggrin

Emm... thank you for your kind words... the first hug is always so nice. And the beer... and talks..., so effortless. Our love of sharing pictures... ~smile, hopefully endless.

I really enjoyed talking with HeartbeatOcean. I basically had no expectations of her and we had a nice conversation

SOSGemini is really cool, super nice and fun. Very clean home, too.

MiguelGomez is very nice, he'd be a great friend

Dook is just what you'd imagine, but he seemed younger in person

SuperSpaceBoy seems pretty serious and very smart.

Sweet is aptly named--and she ran a marathon! Actually when I met her I didn't know her, we must org at different times.

The Audience is a great person to talk to, sensitive & smart about music or otherwise

Nicole and Steve were next with the gorgeous Paola. Beer and chats and as i remember Nic and I got pretty wasted.
Then Natisse, took her to a game at the Lane, that was pretty kewl.
Then it was the London invasion, my dear friend Herman, Petra, Aksel, Simon, Alun, Miguel, Steve and so many more. Fun days and happy times.

London was a riot!

I have met lots or orgers now. I can honestly say that everyone has been amazing and great to speak to. My only regret is that the time goes so fast on the invasions and you never know when you will get the chance to see some of them again sad Oh well... you never know when your paths may cross again.

I know for certain that a few orgers will be in my life forever love2 and are very dear friends.

I have some great pictures from the invasions and memories that I will always treasure. So even after the org is gone we will all live on woot!

what an awesome thread!

I've met some AMAZING souls through this thread... some have become my very favourite of people ever and very very dear to me. I remember very well first meeting Ocean with my Dad and StepMum a looooong time ago now, I remember meeting Missy for the first time and just adoring her from that second hug I remember meeting everyone in London a couple of days after I got here especially Toni Ellie and DreZone all of who I'd been waiting to meet for years touched then in August 2005 one weekend I met quite a lot of our Dutch contingency who I fell in love with straight away mushy and then the beautiful Marroussia in Paris not long after hug the Prince Party in October 2005 was one of those important weekends in my life as that was when I met a whole bunch of other orgers but most especially my Alice and Alun mushy two of my favourite people in the whole entire world and always will be.

It's been SO fantastic to meet all of them and I can't wait to meet more of you in America within the next few weeks

When I first met JD he thought I had a booger in my nose for hours. It was just the inside of my nose ring. giggle

Supa was exactly how I imagined him, only in hyper bright technicolor.

Karen was comfortable, almost right away.

I remember watching everyone meet inside my favorite, now departed record store, Let It Be, over their secret Prince crate at the first MinneVasion and watching everyone squeal and hug. touched
