Yes, I had this for dinner. Well, it was a repeat of last year... only not as bad. Still - we got into foul trouble early andthe Gators got the best of us.

That's OK - there's next year and we got some GREAT recruits woot!

Only... confuse now I don't know WHO to root for... I MIGHT have to go with OSU. shrug

As long as Greg Oden can stay out of foul trouble, it should be a great game...he's much healthier than he was the first time they played in December...but the final result of this game will be the same as the BCS.....the Gators hoisting yet ANOTHER trophy....

I was disappointed that the Gators didn't sink their free throws to close out the game--that's what kept the point differential down. Wasn't as close as the score, imo.

I'm taking the Gators in this game too. The key will be staying out of foul trouble, not to give too many turnovers on offense, and making free throws.

Is this the first time two championship games football/basketball were played with the same schools the same year.

..plus with a Gators win.

It will be the same time in the same season. Florida already did it within the same year, but not season.
biggrin

They don't usually have foul trouble, but turnovers and free throws continue to be their weaknesses. It hasn't mattered--yet.

Alright, I see the Gators winning by about 15. Maybe more depending on their free throw shooting. Something like 80-65 sounds about right to me.

Doubt it. But Florida might let OSU slow it down in the first half before busting it open in the second.

Nah....both of the games were anti-climatic.....and I kind of get the feeling that the championship game is going to be more of the same...all of the sports media love the fact that four high seeds made it to the Final Four, but I'd much rather at least one low seed...an X factor....to spice things up...

nod I totally agree. It's fun to watch a team(s) rise through the tournament that no one expected to go far.

I'll probably watch the playoffs by default since theres not a whole lot to choose from on the tube out here....but I don't get up for it like I used to....the only players I even remotely like watching are Shaq, AI and CP3...

....sigh I guess it'll have to do until the NFL draft/preseason...

I didn't care for the refs calling this game differently than they've called every other tournament game, but whatever. Oden didn't seem to get called for anything, but he was incredible. He definitely went up in my estimation. His was probably the only great performance by a Buckeye tonight. Florida was too deep, too multi-faceted, too damn good.

The Gators have owned UCLA and OSU, so who's next? evillol

Damn, Ohio couldn't hit anything from the outside. If it weren't for Oden it would have been a complete blow out. Even though the score was never really that close, it was a pretty good game, I thought. I love watching tough defense.

Now, go Rutgers! woot!

I wonder if Donovan decided to stay or go to Kentucky. hmmm He's building his own legacy at Florida, so I don't see why he'd want to be just another good coach at Kentucky.
