I find it interesting that you're offended by the term women of color or people of color...and it is talking about non-whites.

Everyone has their preferences, whatever their origin. No big deal, everyone has their "type" right? Although I can appreciate many kinds of women, most of my girlfriends have been Japanese and my wife is Japanese so I guess my preferred "type" is Japanese women.

That said, back before I was married I doubt that I would have dated a non-Japanese woman if I felt that I was going to be constantly looking over my shoulder for an "upgrade" to a woman who was "more my type". That's no good for anyone ... so if you prefer black women, stick with black women (rather than dating a white woman and then hurting her feelings...).

AbucahX- let me pose you a question.

What would you think about a white woman who was full-figured and had fat, juicy lips? Would be attracted to her, assuming you liked her personality etc?

Would SHE be your style, or would it have to be a black woman with those attributes?

AbucahX, You are not a racist!! Everyone has there preferences, and people should respect that. It's also good that you were honest with her, but she was obviously just very angry with you and wanted to say something to hurt you.
Also, it doesn't matter what color you are, or what color the person is, as long as you are happy!

AbucahX, you're a great man. Most men would stop at the phyiscial characteristics when approaching a woman if she doesn't satisfy their visual needs, but you wanted to look beyond that, and that is remarkable. I don't think you should stop dating someone just because you are not physically attracted to them because you are right, some people's inner beauty are far more exceeding than their outer beauty, and sometimes that beauty evokes love and commitiment. Searching for more than physical beauty is noble. Thanx for seeing women for more that just a object that derives pleasure.
