Funny/embarrassing story, I had a hickey on my neck. I went to work, thinking that nobody would notice it. I walked by the receptionist's desk, where she was talking to another co-worker of mine. She saw me and said, "Nancy, how'd you get that hickey on your neck?" Talk about embarrassing, I wanted to die right then and there. Now, TRULY...does it bother you to go to work with a visible hicky? it bugs the HELL outta me, yes. i work in an office with a pretty uptight attitude toward just about anything, so if i showed up all hickiefied, i'd get weirdo looks and stupid comments all day. i'd just as soon not go that route. now when i worked in more "progressive" environments in the past, coming in with a hickie was simply like coming in to work with a zit. nobody really cared. even then, though, i didn't like having hickies, i think just because i'm vain like that. under-the-clothes hickies? all for 'em. | |
