Would you, or have you ever gone back to an ex partner?

Ex boyfriend or girlfriend, husband, wife.. whatever? What happened, or what are your opinions of this..?

I did this all the time before I was married.

It never works out, in my experience.

Yes I did. I was going out with a girl called Claire for about 10 months. She decided to end it due to it being a long distance relationship. She was in Coventry and I was in Manchester. We used to see each other about every two weeks or so. It was kinda hard at times and it made as argue a lot. I found it quite difficult to get over her. This all happened during the summer break when I was at university.

Anyway, at the start of the new semester I started going out with a new girl called Vicky who was lovely. One evening,I got a text from Claire asking how I was. This progressed in her wanting to meet and talk to me so I told her to come to Manchester which she did. We ended up sleeping with each other and then decided to give it another go. Vicky was very understanding about this. We werent together long.

Me and Claire lasted about another 3 or 4 months and she did the same thing again. Ive never got back together with an ex since nor would I ever out of respect for myself no matter how I felt about them. Id extend the same courtesy to them should it be that ended the relationship.

Oh I've done that too.

For me fuckbuddies, just can't be buddies.

Thats the problem.

I got into it, and then always wanted more, but wouldn't tell them, and I would just get hurt.

I really have always flocked to, and ended up in relationships where all I was, was a piece of meat.

The couple I did jhave, that were more, I screwed up. lol

I've had more fuckbuddies than serious relationships over the years. And most of the time that worked out just fine. But it doesn't anymore.

To answer the question, I went back to an ex once. He was the one who cheated on me. confused I was an insecure mess at the time. I wouldn't do that one over.
It's doubtful I would again. Exes are exes for a reason.

I am the queen of revisting past relationships. I have a hard time letting go emotionally so when they come back (and they always do) I always seem to give in. But it never works out at the day. I used to refer to myself as Filler Girl. I'm the girl these guys fill their time with until something better comes along.

Well..sometimes I think I have a sexual memory for past sexual partners...

Some times I vividly remember my last girlfriend's body...and my body starts craving for being in bed with her.

Sometimes good sexual partners, aren't meant to be together

For about 4 minutes once. Thankfully, he managed to very, very quickly demonstrate once again that my feelings didn't have very much to do with his reality. Whew.

Ok JD in reply to your question:

Personally no I wouldnt, but in a way it has happened in the past.

A long term relationship I had, ended amicably and he would come down to visit me in London alot, we were really good friends but we made one mistake then which will have some affect on my life forever.

cut out the fucking sad face emoticon edit..

Filler Girl is a good one. I've been that more than once.

Part of the reason I stopped doing the fuck buddy thing is it started to mess with me in a way. I was always OK with it just being a sex thing, but then I realized I could find a good fuck buddy in a heartbeat but I have a hard time finding men who want to date me. I mean, what's up with that? confused

I thought about it after I got divorced and he told me that no one would ever have me because I have children and no one would ever love me or make love to me the way he did. I had/have such a complex that I thought that maybe i would have to settle for what was available. But thank goodness I live in another state. He is in Georgis and I am in Maryland because I would have called by now I am sure. He calls all of the time now saying that we are going to get back together. I say nope it won't happen. I am sure it won't now because he is still the same and that is why I left in the first place.

I had to make changes and make sure that we do not talk as much...I got our daughter a cell phone so that he can call her to talk and not call me and talk to me to try to wiggle himself back into my life. I also thank GOD that I have a friend that helps me see my self worth. So I have not gone back to an ex. Sorry that I got LLLOOONNNNGGG winded, it was great to get out.

I can do the FB thing no prob as long as I don't get along with them outside of the bedroom. If I like them or get to know them too well, I get emotionally involved.

And yes, same thing with me. Most guys just want to have a casual thing with me and not get emotionally involved. I remember a male co-worker once told me, "you're the kinda girl guys wanna fuck, not marry." neutral
