What have you done that is unselfish, outside of yourself and to the benefit of someone else???
I hauled a bunch of teenagers to the poolside and with my daughter's life-size Barbie taught them CPR. I have other stories.....

Babysitting

I managed to get someone hired into a job that he wasn't qualified for. I did it because he was a nice guy, and I knew he was bright enough to learn.

I spoke to my boss and he got hired into my group. His salary went from 30k a year to 65k in about a week.



A similar thing happened to me 3 years prior to that, and I've always been thankful for it. So I try to do this for others when the opportunity is right.

Someone's dog was running around at a busy intersection. I pulled over and tried to capture him. He disappeared. Came back after my errand, drove around for an hour, stopped off at the Humane Society and in their computer data, found out he ran into a local hardware store. Contacted the owners who came and got him.

I volunteer regularly at a nursing home near my house. I help with an exercise program, assist an elderly woman check and send email, chat with a couple of others, and do readings, vespers and meditation with an elderly woman from India with MS.

It's amazing how little effort can so vastly enrich someone's life. It's that that keeps me going, though many times my selfish self would rather do something else with my time.

I played football and gave some money to an orphanage in Cambodia so a group of teenage girls had the privacy of their own room.

On my girlfriends birthday, i took it upon myself to have a shower before i got her to suck me off. hey, it was her birthday! AND i didnt ask for anything in return for my efforts.

i stopped two armed men from kidnapping a pregnant woman, a lil while back...

personally i do not believe that humans are capable of alturism and that our actions
how ever selfless they may appear, ultimately benefit us in some way...

i wasn't aware that the girl was pregnant at first, but i became much more determined
to stop the men once i realised..

way i see it i was subconciously either; fighting for the success of the human race or i viewed
the woman as a potential mate, mother to my child or something i am not sure which

all i know is i usually dont have any interest in getting stabbed.

I rented an apartment to a lady coming from Missouri, she rented it sight unseen. She brought her little apricot toy poodle with her. She went to work the second day she was here, and her dog somehow got out and got lost. She had been at work all day and came to me at 5:30pm, saying that she left that morning at 7am, so I assumed the dog was long gone. I spent four hours after work walking the neighborhood, trying to find the dog. I didn't sleep well that night because it was COLD overnight.

The next day, she went to the local humane society, hoping her dog was there. She came back to my office after being there, and I saw this sad, defeated, and very worried lady in front of me. She broke down in tears right there. I couldn't stand it anymore, so I drew up signs and posted them immediately within a mile radius of our property. It took a good two hours.

I got a phone call the next morning saying that the dog had been returned to her. I was so happy for her, and now she thinks that I am a saint.

I sacrificed my time for this lady I really didn't know, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

though I know that the energy I send forwards returns to me in positive ways always ( Karma perhaps ! ) ... that in no way influences my choice to do such acts that come from my heart it's just a positive outcome without attachment

There are a few things but on a day to day basis i do my best to offer of myself with nothing asked in return, to all....friends,family and strangers. I know that eventually i will be accorded the same treatment although usually that is when i least expect it.

Trying to be a good friend is something i take very seriously.

I am coaching a soccer team for my middle school cause no one else will do it. I love the sport, but only played organized soccer till Junior High. I have never coached a soccer team. I'm just gonna go with Mach's sons drills and with the line up I have a 4 - 4 - 2 formation should work well!
