cool so i need to start looking for a pair of used light weight paddles
i will get a new flotation vest though, i aint sharing skin with no body

which style would u recommend, trust me i am not being completely lazy, i am doing some research as well...

biggrin

It depends on how much you're willing to pay and the weather where you are.
I live in Florida, and it gets really really hot and muggy here for a good part of the year.

Flotation vests can go for as little as 30 US dollars to as much as 150 US dollars.

Mine cost about 120 I think. It's primary floats are in the front as opposed to the back (Which would retain heat), and it allows me more manueverabilty than the normal vest (so I can take pictures).

Another thing you may want to purchse is a dry bag (you can get really nice ones for cheap). Dry bags allow you to place your belongings in them without getting wet (and trust me--no matter how careful you are, they WILL get wet).

dry bag, whistle and flotation device with floats at the front, got all of that.

question: where do i store the onboard motor for times of laziness?

..

LMAO!!!

They make trolling motors for kayaks now.

http://www.canopy.net/sunspot Not cheap. But not too expensive.

They don't go very fast, and are very silent, becuase they're used primarily for fishing--Fishing from kayaks is EXTREMELY popular here in Florida now becuase kayaks can get into hidden nooks that regular boats just can't get to. But for some folks, manuevering the paddles, then the fishing line gets combersom, so some people use trolling motors.

Personally, I haven't actually seen one in real life, and I've seen plenty of fisherman on kayaks. lol

3.76 metric metres

long enough yaaa?

...

That's roughly 13 feet I believe.

Go for it!

I think it's more like 11.

My twocents :

GET A LONGER BOAT. smile

It is SO much work to keep a short kayak tracking properly, especially if there is so much as a breeze. I've been surprised when trying out different kayaks how huge the length issue really is.
oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

It beats the 9 footer.

Is there an opportunity for you to ride it before buying? To test it out?

The good news is, if you've never tried anything different, you'll think damn near any boat is fabulous, because kayaking is so very, very fun! woot!
