When I lived in an apartment, every neighbor I had was loud. If it wasn't the music, it was loud ass people hanging out all hours of the night, or the drunk beating up his wife and some jackass had the nerve to even have a dog barking all night in her apartment.
I have found from my own experience that talking to them only silences them for a day, two days if you're lucky and then they're doing the same crap again. I am so glad I don't live in an apartment anymore. I will live in a trailer before I ever live in an apartment again. I work hard and I love my peace and quiet and I am seriously protective of it. I cannot stand when people blast their music or televisions or whatever. It is just plain rude. No matter who's doing it or what time of the day it is or their reason for it. Rude is rude 24/7. You play your stuff loud (even though you don't think so) and so your neighbor probably thinks you don't mind when he is loud.

I feel for ya, novabrkr. I'm going through similar issues with the neighbor lady downstairs. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

But I just have really bad experiences of it from my previous address, as it didn't help at all and not even the manager could help (I wasn't the only one wanting them evicted). Not only did I have to confront them personally they always tried to make me seem like the bad guy not allowing their "normal family family" to go on.
I think this guy here will get the message at least for a while. I already did it last fall one night, and he was quiet for several months. But now it started again. ... drumset sounds pretty bad. People... That sucks. I would respond in kind, just to spite them. I would place my subwoofer against the wall and play La Bamba on continuous loop at full volume. Then I would check into a hotel for a week, leaving my stereo on at home. I told a friend of mine that I would loooove to play the song "Billyjackbitch" for the neighbor lady downstairs. I would love to put a big boombox next to the heating vent on the floor, and turn that song on full blast. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I did once. After that, I made the decision to never, ever again date anyone that I meet on the org. Especially those whose screen-name initials are Z & elaira. did you have to live in her closet so her folks wouldn't find out?
