I still love my little Corolla. After graduation, I think I'm deserving of a new Jetta though. If only someone would drop some serious cash for one. Any takers? Btw, on a thread like this, I think it's kinda rude to attack the person for buying an SUV. Had it been a topic like "which do you prefer car or SUV, and why", I think it would be a tad bit different. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

PurpleJedi said: Congratulations! Pay no mind to the haters. They're just ill-informed, or enjoy the easy mark. The RAV-4 is far from being a gas-guzzling, environment-destroying street monstosity merely because it's an "SUV". In fact, the RAV-4 has similar MPG ratings as a Chevy Malibu or Monte Carlo (depending on what model you get). And since Toyota is BUILDING factories in the USA while Ford & GM are CLOSING them...I wouldn't feel un-patriotic about buying a Toyota. Congratulations again GYRO! ...and BTW: I'm loving my Chevy Equinox! Yep, the haters can't see anyone happy. Wasn't an American car manufacturer that left Michael Moore's hometown without any jobs? Nice to hear from you again PurpleJedi, and congratulations on that Chevy Equinox!

Now I've moved to Canada, and heady for a Harley. Well, ready to ride one, not to pay for one. Perhaps your wish will come true someday.

I would buy American again if I could find something that would hold up past the time I have it paid off. For me I look for quality and endurance
The American made cars I have had in the past have fallen apart or felt cheaply made and unsafe. If I am going to pay that much for something- it needs to last. I have a 1999 Nissan Frontier truck and it has been great and I have had it paid off for years. Can't complain...

I agree, AnckSuNamun. Some people never change, but I won't stop loving SUVs just for their sake.
