Think of words ending in -GRY. Angry and hungry are two of them. There are only three words in the English language. What is the third word? The word is something that everyone uses every day. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is.

this one is hell hard

"One One" was a racehorse
"Two Two" was one too
"One One" won one race
"Two Two" won one too

...or did I get the horses' names wrong?

Dial it when you figure it out. batting eyes

...or you might want to re-read the second clue. I basically gave it away there!

Another riddle please biggrin

What is the next row of numbers?

1
11
21
1211
111221
312211
13112221

1113213211

(1--one
11--^1 one
21--^2 ones
1211--^1 two, 1 one
111221--^1 one, 1 two, 2 ones
312211--^3 ones, 2 twos, 1 one
13112221--^1 three, 1 one, 2 twos, 2 ones)

(the 5 gallon/3 gallon bucket one still doesn't make sense to me. If you fill the 3 gallon bucket twice that's 6 gallons so 1 gallon will overflow when you pour it in the 5 gallon bucket. And if you're gonna do that, why not just fill the 5 gallon bucket once? confuse sad )
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I'm not sure what you mean by "why not just fill the 5 gallon bucket once"? What would that accomplish?

And the 1 gallon won't overflow, you'll save it in the 3 bucket, then empty the 5 bucket and then pour the 1 gallon into the 5 bucket, plus another full 3 bucket.

That's the password! wink What what? The number riddle or the bucket?

The number thing is just using numerals instead of words to write the number of numbers in the line.
For example:
111221
312211

think about it like this: 111221--there are 3 ones, 2 twos, and one 1 in this line. So the next line is 3 1's, 2 2s, 1 1-->312211
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

idea2 Oh I get it now. I misunderstood what she was saying...I thought she meant pour all the water into the 5 gallon bucket and dump out the leftover in the 3 gallon bucket and dump out the 5 gallon, too. nuts

damn, my brain hurts now...and I have to translate some stuff into French tonight for a tour I'm giving tomorrow...

j/k It won't be that bad, they will have one native French speaker who speaks English, and one native English speaker who speaks French, and me, who speaks franglais badly so I'll manage. It's just that the group is super VIP I wanted to greet them in French to impress them.
