Bridge To Terabythia - best movie in a long time for me!

saw this the other weekend and i love it!

i thought it was going to be a kids fantasy film ala Chronicles of Narnia or a little like Lord of the Rings but it wasnt at all.

It's a semi serious film ABOUT fantasy. i love how they make up their own little world and they use the baddies from their real life in the fantasies.

no. every 4,000,000 posts i write something that is not sarcastic, and your thread is a winner. the story you described reminds me of 'pan's labyrinth'.

It is nothing like Pan's Labyrinth.

In fact, despite what Milty said, I thought it was a bit disappointing. I had expected it to be some sort of mixture of Pan's Labyrinth and Chronicles of Narnia. I read the book in my grade school years and I loved it. I knew what to actually expect to happen in the movie. It seemed very "kiddy" in most parts, and then you're hit with the sudden tragedy of a cute little kid with a big imagination dying.

I think I expected too much.
This one's for you.

if SHORTBUS had monsters and aliens and space battles, it would be my favorite film of all time.
