i became a vegan after several years of being a vegetarian. it just seemed like a normal progression for me. as far as being strict - there are a lot of vegans who are more particular than i am. if a particular kind of bread has some honey in it, for example, and i can't find anything similar without honey, i don't sweat it. also, i make an exception for birthday cake, etc. - it's more important to be social than being 110% vegan imho. i think it's very easy to become a slave to veganism at the expense of friends and family.

yes, we have 2 dogs, and we do feed them a meat-based diet. i had them on a veggie diet a while back, but it didn't do well for my dog with skin issues, so i switched back. but i still mix in some tofu or veggies into their food.

She looks at the plate, then looks at you as if to say "where the fucks my chicken?! have you hit your head?" but as shes gotten older (10 now) occasionally she will eat a whole pile of veg, or potatoes, which amuses us greatly. I put it down to her knowing she needs the nutrients though. "oh its been a month, I need some broccoli"!!
