For cosmetic reasons.

There might be a disfiguring problem with the face or the eyes.

You raise the pups for the 1st yr and then give them back to futher their training

They are extremely smart... their breeding program insures that

if someone was staring at you but they didn't respond when you smiled or waved
you would think, man, what a jerk.
with glasses they avoid accidentally insulting people

that and not all "blind" people are blind.

There's all different types and levels of blindness. Some are sensitive to the glare from lights.
Relatively few blind people are completely blind. Most have a little residual sight but often it's more annoying than useful.
But yeah most blind people who wear sunglasses do it for other people.

Both my husband's mother and grandmother were registered blind. They wore sunglasses because they suffered from light sensitivity and had pain if they went out in sunlight without their sunglasses on.

It always makes me laugh when people wonder about what it's like to be blind? They say stuff like 'what do they see then?' and 'must be black all the time like when we close our eyes'. falloff They're blind, they don't see anything.

That's not true in most cases. Most blind people see something, just not enough to be useful. It really depends on the reason someone is blind.
I'm blind in one eye and I see things from the very top of my eye, and I can see the scars from the surgeries I had. I've learned to ignore it and just use my better eye. Got absolutely no depth perception though.

My eyes look a little different, a little like a lazy eye because of all the surgeries I've had. I get people who don't know which eye to look at when they're talking to me. It used to bother the hell out of me but now I just point to my good eye and say "I'm over here". lol
