MP3 players: SanDisk vs Apple

I want to get an mp3 player. I like the price of sandisk and have always been anti-apple. Anybody have opinions on the two? I saw a 1GB Sandisk for about $79.99. Sounded good to me

It depends on how much style plays a part in your decision making.

I find the iPods to be too hot to ignore. I love my Ipod Nano Red, and plan on getting the touch screen video iPod which I'm sure Apple will release this summer or fall. They're just too damned good looking to pass up.

But if I were not to go with Apple, I'd look into a Creative Zen model. They give you more features than competing Apple products for the same or less. They're lower end Muvo models have radios, voice recorders, and a host of settings Apple's Ipod Nano doesn't. For me, these features were not a consideration as I would rarely if ever use them, so I went with the Nano.

Also, if you have alot of license .wma files, Apple isn't for you. Nano's won't play .wma files.

go with Apple.

I don't know anything about SanDisk personally, but I've heard good things about them and iRiver.

I would recommend really looking into the Creative Zen products though. Creative tends to have really great sound in their players.

No. I just figured if you really, desperately want people to get an Apple, you might as well get a sign or a T shirt or a tattoo or maybe get it shaved into your hair or something. falloff

They have a huge selection.

Their Zen Vision is their top of the line player--an excellent player.

But the Muvo and Nano are their smaller players. The one you see here is so tiny that you don't notice it on you when you're wearing it. Of course, it's not as small as the IPod Shuffle, but with a radio tuner, voice recorder, and mutliple settings, it is far more robust.

Do get an Apple though.

True. iRiver is the best for that.
I think Creative has one that has a memory card option, but I never really considered that in my purchases. shrug
