If that's what keeps you from watching... you're missing out. Yea you are missing out if thats the best excuse to not watch. This series isn't just a rehash of the TOS(The Original Series). Its a whole new show, and many of the characters have been changed to encompass the whole diversity of the colonies, either by gender or race. Also the show has added characters that weren't in the TOS to give more political and social bite to the show. Granted if Moore had wanted just to rehash the old tired shit from the 70's he could have and made many old BSG fans happy, but by recreating the BSG universe Moore was able to mirror the political, religious and social issues that are facing the audience today. I think this upgrade totally reinvented the franchise making it one of the best Sci fi shows in the last 15 yrs. This is not your father's oldsmobile. Thank The Gods.
