Are you a clacker or a sneaker?

Do you prefer noisy, clompy shoes or do you prefer shoes with really quiet soles? And why? Do you feel safer when your walking makes a lot of noise? Do you like sneaking up on people? Are you a tap dancer or a mime? Explain yourself!

It does not matter for me.

I am a feet dragger. I schlep.

But I DO love flip flops. I love the click clack click clack. And my feet are clostrophobic, so I'd wear em all yr if I could.

we must never hang out in summer. the sound of flip flops is seriously like kryptonite to me. do you know what that sound is? it's sweaty feet slapping against dirty rubber. that's not right.

it freaks me out when my shoes make no noise at all. makes me think
i'm dreaming or something or going deaf.

shoes that make a lot of noise though, make me want to kill people,
without further provocation. the clacking noise drives me mad. it's
a complete mysterie to me how some people can walk on their shoes,
listening to them all day long *click clack click clack*

especially in long, tiled hallways mad does my head in stab
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I haven't worn any other kind of footwear than combat boots in years. And I even used to live next to a beach, so go figure.

Somewhere in between is the only place I've ever tapped anyone.

And I agree,
it's loads of fun.

Oh. . . I have some shoes that are super quiet (Airwalks, some repurposed rubber-soled slippers, Vans, Chucks) and some that are loud (ass-stompin' boots, hiking boots, flip flops woot! ). It never occured to me that noise should be a factor in shoe selection. Ya freak.
oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

you've never thought about the noise your shoes make? i'm always paranoid if i'm wearing clacky shoes that i'm getting on everyone's nerves. i mean, not that shoes are going to make much difference where i'm concerned, but still...!

lol

I'm a sneaker-abouter. nod I know where you're coming from with the clack clack noisy shoe thing, Anx.

Years ago - I must have been about 15/16 - I was out with my mates on a Friday night, drinking cider on some bench lol, and some random local 'tough guy' came up and sat next to us. Some bloke walks past, his feet clip clopping on the pavement, and the guy turned to us and said "Never trust a guy whose heels makes a noise when he walks - gay".

WTF?? falloff

I must confess, though, that hearing that and being in the closet (and growing up in the place I did) I was totally paranoid about it for years! disbelief lol I was always looking out for it. So my lightness of touch may have more to do with that than my choice of footwear.

I'm both the clacker sound from my hard sole shoes and silence with soft sole... but what I do not wear and hate with a natural born passion are shoes that make clapping sounds when I walk like flip flops.

You know if you just walk around with a box of tic tacs, you wouldn't have that problem. Plus your breath will always be minty AND you'd always have something to share with the crowd!
