I remember we were walking around base one day (This is 10 years ago), and this new girl was in our squadron--terribly nervous becuase she had just gotten out of basic training. She was a sweet girl and all, but a bit clumbsy.

She was carrying a whole bunch of supplies and note paper, etc. and was about 10 feet in front of us. Then for no apparent reason, she triped and fill flat on her face and all her stuff spilled everywhere. You know those horror movies where the scream queen trips when running from the chainsaw carrying dude? Well that's the kind of fall she had--out of nowhere and for no reason.

I was stunned. But Drake immediately just busted out laughing his ass off. He was in tears. I mean, we helped her and picked stuff up for her and got her to her senses, but he was doing it laughing his ass off the whole time.

it was embarrassing and funny at the same time. I was torn.

yeah, that's sort of the way it is with me. Only for me it's more the way my mind works. It jumps from thing to thing to thing. So like, if someone says a specific word that triggers a thought, then I go from one thing to another to another until I'm thinking of some joke I heard years ago or something that happened a week ago or a hilarious article I read...yeah.

It's scary for other people though. Because sometimes I bring it up randomly, and they're like We were talking about funerals. Where did this subject regarding how Prince is literally one hair taller than Apollonia come up? And that's how I learned to run, too.
