i'm the fussiest i know.
to the point jd, where i know i could not travel like you do. eating at a restaurant i don't know is an ordeal let alone a whole culture i would rather bring my own food to large get togethers and i hate HATE having other people try to change their meals for me.

It sucks, because being vegan, I'm fussy by definition (though these days, less fussy than a lot of vegans, at least when the food is being prepared by somebody else).
Otherwise, I'm really not very fussy at all. There are things I don't prefer (mushrooms, cauliflower), but very little that I absolutely hate (pickles, olives). The pickiest eater I know is one of my girlfriends. She's annoying because it's SO psychological. Like, if you don't tell her there is something she thinks she doesn't like in something, she'll eat it and say she loves it, and then if you tell her what's in it, all of a sudden she hates it. She gave me this sesame-based salad dressing recently, telling me how good it is, and then later mentioned that she hates all things sesame. I told her what was in the dressing that she loved, and it clearly just about broke her brain. The first time she had Thai food, she ordered Phad Thai, and she didn't know that they would put peanuts on top. She likes peanut butter, or eating whole peanuts, but doesn't like ground peanuts on food. Fine. But she wouldn't scrape them off and eat the rest! It was just ruined for her. And not just Phad Thai. ALL THAI FOOD. She didn't eat Thai food again for YEARS. Finally she came to her senses and tried something else, and now she likes it, but. . . geezus. . . oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

Let's see now, the title of this thread is Fussy Eaters. If I remove the first letter: _ussy Eaters.....hmmmm.....I could insert the first letter of the word, Prince, there, and have an entirely different thread topic. Let's talk about Prince's album called Dirty Mind.

You get used to it. From experience when eating in resteraunts, Id recommend eating the food which is native to that particular country. It is totally possible to mess up a pizza as Ive seen!

Its totally understandable. This is funny to me because I thought I read "pussy eaters", so I clicked on the thread...: ...anyways, then I see it's "fussy eaters" and the next thing I see is "you don't like P's", as in Pussy...whatever, it's funny to me heffas. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I was an extremely fussy eater as a child, but thankfully have since become more gastronomically adventurous.
One of my main issues when small was not allowing individual foods on a plate to touch one another. If one food seeped into or got mixed up with another, I considered both foods to be tainted and wouldn't eat them.

I'm sorry but I can't deal with people that are picky about everything. That is why I choose to travel by myself. I am easy to travel with.
I went to New York a while back and some girlfriends of my boyfriend went with us. In the morning we all wanted to get up and go. One of the girls said that she had to have coffee first, and it had to be in a porcelein cup. In other words she didn't want coffee to go. Ughhhh. We wasted so much precious time with her. It can be a huge waste of time- I would rather go with the flow I think some ppl just like the power trip and they like to manipulate others with their quirks. That really bugs me

I can deal with my own version of pickiness without bothering anybody, and don't have to put up with anybody else's bullshit. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!
