I think Carm isn't neccessarily in love w/ Furio. I think she 's disenchanted w/ Tony. They're not seeing eye to eye on much, they fight all the time, she knows he cheats, she feels sometimes that he just doesn't care, and she's just a little enraptured by the purity and freshness of Furio. Notice she brought (i don't remember her son's name) along, just to be a witness, so nothing would happen between them.

Furio on the other hand DOES like Carmella.

The FBI situation will be dealt with soon.

Ralphie WILL be whacked. By Tony

Quite often I am high, but not at the moment. Anyway, they kept on showing Meadow at Furio's housewarming event and the look on her face was weird. Then...wasn't the music she was playing at the end when Tony and Carmela wanted to get in on the shit Furio was playing???

I thought the same thing about Meadow having the hots for Furio. I thought maybe at the housewarming party, but when I heard the music blarring from Meadows room, I though that had to mean something.

June7, I was getting SO nervous when they were completely flirting right in front of Tony, too!

I thought the scenes between Meadow and Tony were good.

What was the point of showing AJ coaxing Bobby's son in the garage at the housewarming party?

How funny was it when Richie said, "Man, Tony's sister was into some freaky sh*t!" and continued to make it sound like SHE was the one who wanted to that stuff on the last episode, and that he didn't do it--He's just Janice's little "Whoo-ore". smile

I can't wait to see what happens with Adrianna next week too!

Well, after a subpar episode 3 all is right with the world, as long as I never have to see Richie taking a vibrator up the ass for as long as I live. i couldn't get an ercetion for a week after that. Well...yes I could.

Episode 4 was back on track. Damn this show is good. Finally, a soap opera without dumb romances and space alien impregnations! I love this show.

My biggest questions:

- Will Chris' heroin habit get the best of him? How long before he seriously fucks up or Tony finds out (if he already doesn't know)?

- Will Adrianna flip? (I think she will)

- How long before Richie gets whacked (I don't think he will - it's too obvious)

_ When will Tony find out that Paulie's been "speaking out of school", and what will he do about it?

Carmella's had the seven year itch forever now, dating back to the thing with the priest. They'll save her inevitable infidelity for when the ratings start to drop. Yes, she brought Tony Jr. along to protect HERSELF from temptation, not for PR purposes.

Who can give me odds on who gets clipped this year? I've got Paulie as the favorite, followed by richie and maybe Adrianna if the word gets out.

To me it seems this season is focusing
so much on the carelessness and ineptitude

Where as before they seemed more competent

I don't think they did although it was stymied by him not going to Boston or wherever he was going. I think since he said he was ready to accept Ralphie's apology that it will probably blow over. But I think that those crazy eyed hitmen may screw up and kill him or Tony (since he was on the picture) anyway.

There's a new magazine out right now published by the TV Guide people called "The Sopranos Companion". It's fantastic! It goes in2 every detail regarding every episode up 2 the end of season 3.

It has a pull out map of "Soprano Land" that details everything that happened everywhere (it's kinda "simpson-esque"). It has a calendar on the bottom letting u know when new episodes r playing.

Every character that's been whacked is in it, name, character they play, how they were whacked and where, etc... it's amazing how detailed this is.

A must have 4 any Soprano fan, or 4 the peeps just getting in2 the show... costs: $5.95 (US dollars).

I give it 5 Stars! star star star star star

Okay...funny Soprano actor news. Remember the flak the Native Americans gave the Christopher Columbus parade on the show...and how the mafia went after them, especially Silvio. Now they've been invited, and there's a-controversy-a-brewin'.

Giuliani Defends HBO's 'Sopranos'
Thu Oct 10, 4:04 PM ET
By KATHERINE ROTH, Associated Press Writer

NEW YORK (AP) - Repeat after Rudy: It's just a television show. It's just a television show ...

Former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani (news - web sites) weighed in Thursday on whether cast members of HBO's "The Sopranos (news - Y! TV)" should march in the Columbus Day Parade — and the ex-prosecutor's on the side of the television mob.

"I'm a big `Sopranos' fan," Giuliani told reporters. "The show is a terrific show, and I would urge some Italian-Americans to be less sensitive. You could spend your whole life wanting to be insulted. ... Why? Why do you want to be insulted?"

His comments came a day after Mayor Michael Bloomberg drew criticism from parade organizers for inviting Dominic Chianese, who plays Tony Soprano's Uncle Junior on the show, and Lorraine Bracco (news), who plays psychiatrist Jennifer Melfi, to march in the city's annual celebration of Italian pride.

"I think we all get beyond it when we just relax more about it," Giuliani said. "It's just a show."

Parade organizers dislike "The Sopranos" because they say it's little more than a negative caricature of Italian-American life. The Columbus Citizens Foundation, which plans the event, previously has turned down requests for "Sopranos" actors to participate.

"I didn't invite them as members of `The Sopranos.' I didn't invite any other member of `The Sopranos' cast," Bloomberg said Wednesday. "These are two nice people who have gone out of their way to help the city."

"I apologize if anybody's offended," the mayor added. "If you are offended, don't wave back when they wave to you."

Larry Auriana, president of the foundation, said the show perpetuates negative stereotypes.

"Besides the whole crime element, it shows Italo-Americans as uneducated, low-life brutes," Auriana said.

Giuliani disagreed.

"I don't think we should feel sorry for ourselves," he said. "Italian-Americans have this thing they have to deal with, where people maybe have some prejudices because of the Mafia, which they shouldn't have."

But Giuliani said he can't march in the parade because he'll be in California, signing copies of his new book, "Leadership," and campaigning for Bill Simon, a Republican candidate for governor.

"Sopranos" Columbus Controversy
Thu Oct 10, 2:45 PM ET
By Marcus Errico

Tony Soprano might run a tight ship, but he ain't got nothing on New York's top boss.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg is refusing to back down from stinging criticism leveled by organizers of the city's annual Columbus Day Parade, who are demanding hizzoner whack two stars of HBO's The Sopranos from the lineup.

Bloomberg invited Dominic Chianese (Tony's Uncle Junior) and Lorraine Bracco (Tony's shrink, Dr. Jennifer Melfi) to march along with such other Italian-rooted New York notables--like Yankee manager Joe Torre and city Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta--in this year's affair, taking place Monday. Turns out, though, the mayor never told the parade planners about his guests.

And bada-bing, bada-boom, a full blown controversy has erupted.

Seems the parade folks aren't too keen on The Sopranos (news - Y! TV). Like several Italian-American groups, they think the HBO hit is demeaning to their ancestry.

"There is simply no place in a celebration of ethnic pride and heritage for the public display and promotion of a program that glorifies violence, debases women, and portrays Italian-Americans in the worst possible light," Lawrence Auriana, president of the Columbus Citizens Foundation (the group that's run the parade for the past 58 years), said in press release titled "Sopranos Uninvited and Unwelcome in Columbus Day Parade." The group has previously turned down previous requests to have Sopranos stars walk in the parade.

"This," Auriana added, "is not the mayor's parade."

In a press conference Wednesday, Bloomberg defended his decision, explaining he invited Chianese and Bracco because they were good Gothamites and rock-solid role models, at least off screen.

"Lorraine Bracco (news) has been very active in some environmentalist things, and Uncle Junior did some PSA's for the city," the mayor explained. "Both of them are very proud of their Italian heritage.

"I didn't invite them as members of The Sopranos. These are two nice people who have gone out of their way to help the city."

As a matter of fact, Bloomberg added (remember he is a politician), he doesn't even watch the show.

Both actors are planning to put on their marching shoes and join the festivities. "As a citizen of New York, I am proud to march with Mayor Bloomberg in the Columbus Day parade," Chianese said via a press release. "I am glad the mayor has acknowledged me as a successful Italian-American actress. As a native New Yorker and activist, it is a privilege to march next to the mayor," Bracco said through an HBO-issued statement.

For the millions of Sopranos fans out there, this Columbus Day imbroglio is, in the words of another New York Italian-American icon Yogi Berra, déjà-vu, all over again.

The September 29 episode had Tony consigliere Silvio Dante (Steven Van Zandt (news)) fuming over a bunch of Native American protesters dissing Columbus at a North Jersey Columbus Day Parade.

"Ultimately, it's anti-Italian discrimination," says Silvio. "Columbus Day is a day of Italian pride, it's our holiday, and they want to take it away. We have to protect our honor." The episode ends with Silvio's crew banging some heads and winding up in the can.

Ironically, those are practically the same sentiments expressed by William Fugazy, president of the Coalition of Italo-American Associations.

"It's a sort of sacred day for Italo-Americans. Our parade is about heritage and pride. Certainly, the Sopranos haven't done much for heritage and pride in our community."

But Bloomberg isn't budging.

"I'm not here to win an ideological competition," he said. "We're here to celebrate. This is New York. You can't do anything without people being upset. I apologize if anyone's offended, but, you know, if you're offended, don't wave back when they wave at you. It's very simple, you don't like The Sopranos, don't turn it on. Nobody's forcing you to do either."

Or, translated to Tony-speak, "Whaddya gonna do?"

---

Damn... is this a great show or what. Such controversy, even the actors can't go just anywhere!
