"Dream Weaver," by Gary Wright has freaked me out for decades.
My 6-year-old knows it, so she sings it whenever she wants to get rid of me. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

My 6-year-old knows it, so she sings it whenever she wants to get rid of me. I have a little cousin. Well she's 30 or something now, but we used to torture her with the song Monster Mash. She would literally scream bloody murder if she heard the song or we sang it to her. M MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! Oh yeah!!!! The sampled screaming in the background is really really scary. It's a great song to run through your speakers on a Halloween night, along with Prince's screaming in the song GOD. Heeeheee. "When I'm alone, my mind takes a drive." m MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! 'Telephone Line' - yeah, I get that. Pretty song, but the production is a little scary. 'Strange Magic' kinda has the same vibe
One night in college I was alone at the house, cleaning my fishtank and jamming Robin Trower's 'Bridge of Sighs'. By the end of the song I was convinced somebody was breaking in, and I was starting to freak a bit. I listened back, and Robin just put some super quiet voices in there, that's all

...oh, and here's another: Knights in White Satin. "breathe deep..." That is a creepy-sounding song. It's just a sad love song, but somehow it sounds downright dark. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I know it's weird and I don't know why it had such an impression on me. Classical conditioning forms an association between two stimuli M It had such a strong and lasting impression on you becuase of something us psychologists call 'Classical Conditioning'. This is when the brain forms an association between two stimuli - often unrelated. Perhaps the most well known example of this is Pavlovs experiment on salivating dogs. He found that if u presented dogs with food, they would salivate. then, whilst presenting dogs with there food he would ring a bell Then he found that if he just rang a bell but didnt present any food, the dogs would still begin to salivate. can u see? the dogs had begun to associate the ringing of a bell with the presentation of food even though the two stimuli had nothing to do with each other. Thus, if we apply this to your experience, you obviously had a very traumatic experience at the movie. U lkearned to associate this fear with the sound of ABBA. thus, like a dog hearing a bell, when u hear abba, it conjours up those emotions u attached to it as a child. whilst it is unusual for association to happen very quickly (it is often necessary for an act to be repeated 'x' amount of times for it to become learned behaviour) evidence suggest that traumatic event are often more quickly ingrained into our psyche. yep.. your fucked up alright haha just kidding Who do i make my invoice out too? p.s. if u want to know how to de-fuse the feelings u get when u hear ABBA then PM me and i will help u out.
