What is your favorite movie?

What is your fav. movie? Old or new....what's a must have? Know any good ones with lots of action, adventure and kinda scifi-ish?

I hate sci fi.

Action movies are for boys.

I hate boy movies.

My fave movies are The King and I, Pretty Woman, Clueless, and Whats Eating Gilbert Grape.

My favorite movie is 'Elizabeth' (1998)

The rest of the top five are:

Queen Margot
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Brotherhood Of The Wolf
Bram Stoker's Dracula

All are period pieces. And except for 'Wolf' all are doomed love stories because that's what real life is all about. neutral

'Brotherhood Of The Wolf' has lots of action and adventure, but because it takes place in 18th century France it's not very sci-fi--closer to horror actually. Imagine 'Sleepy Hollow' mixed with 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'. That's what this movie is.

Lots of action, which I like, but not in the true spirit of Alien/Alien 3, which were much more like a chess match between hunter and hunted...and there wasn't a gratuitous amount of screentime for the Alien....just enough for you to know they were there until the climax....and the shit hit the fan...
