If it's a friend or relative I think I go for their left shoulder. So does that have a positive or negative meaning?

anyway, i think a heart to heart hug, (i.e. left shoulder to left shoulder) is more intimate than a right shoulder to right shoulder hug. in my experience the right shoulder to right shoulder hug is more common for casual hugs and the left shoulder to left shoulder hug is for more intimate occasions | |

I just kinda played the scenario out in my head....and it seems to be a natural thing to go towards the opposite right shoulder if you're right handed....because if you're hugging a person who is also right handed, you won't bump heads when you go for the clutch...the funny shit comes when its a lefty you're trying to grab up on...
then again, I could be overthinking this.....but I AM in the military, where prior to coming in, I never noticed the whole "left foot-right arm swing" thing...just sayin' He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.
