It was kinda boring last night. I thought it was funny seeing them interpret political issues though. Models don't care about issues. No, really none of them seemed interested in any of the issues at hand.....they basically just wanted to pose and look pretty. That girl who got eliminated was truly clueless about the fur issue. Animals die, like people, right? Not a good look for models I liked her enthusiasm and NY accent though. Who was the one with the kid? I hate when young women go on there with kids. Waaahhh, I miss my son so much. Um, stay your ass at home then. This is just me, but if I had a really young child, I wouldn't get caught up in madness of ANTM.

I like the Russian girl.....

renee had the kid. and i agree didnt like her at alllll. plus her hippie-chick picture was HORRIBLE.

I hated to see Kathleen be the first to go! She had a great attitude, her face looked beautiful in her pic (better in the close up). Yes, she was definitely lost & a bit stupid but damn, I liked her personality!








Renee (the one w/ the kid) is focusing on everything BUT being a good model She's the catty one already! I love what Jael had to say to her though - that being genuinely happy/easy going & not having all the pressures doesn't mean she's fake, she just has a different focus. I wonder if Renee got that? She needs to relax, her pics scream "TENSE!"










Jael surprised me, she'll do better than I thought b/c I couldn't understand why they picked her. But her trashy Goodwill outfit won me over But her photo session was WACK!








I'll probably get skewered for this but lets face it - this show will NEVER pick a plus sized girl as the winner, it's just not gonna happen. If they don't provide clothes in the proper sizes for them, how the fuck are they gonna get close to winning? It's irritating b/c they only include them in the pool b/c Tyra has a point to prove - on the one hand it's good b/c for all her talk about beauty in all sizes at least she's trying to back it up. But it's frustrating b/c there were 2 girls in the top 20 who really should have made into the house (they were both STRIKING!) but they were left out & who's taking up 2 spots? The plus sized girls who aren't gonna win! It's a bummer.

It was the chick w/ the borrowed weave from NY (super cute) & a girl they interviewed on camera once, don't know her name but she was dark skinned & striking.

One plus sized girl isn't even impressive in the face - Diana:






The other one, Whitney, has a sweet face, but who cares:





Both could model, yes, but neither is the best in this competition. So what's the point? I don't get it





Brittany - why is she there? She's average pretty, nothing special...








Cassandra - I like her face more than I thought I would, she photographs pretty well (believe it or not from the 1st pic). I think she'll end up being bland though:










Dionne - photographs well, you wouldn't know it from the 1st pic but the 2nd is gorgeous (despite the pose):









Felicia - Nigel likes her bone structure, she's cute but not impressive so far...








Jaslene - her photo was fantastic, she's gorgeous. She didn't make it on last year but could go far this year. Her walk is good too:









Natasha: Her face is HUGE to me, but pleasant @ the same time. Her ideas about femininity are weird to me, she'll be entertaining... & gone soon probably - she's completely lost on set...








Samantha - there's something about her face I like. She could be a sleeper:








Sarah - another possible sleeper, less so than the other girl though. I don't see anything special here, she's super average. BUT she did take a good polaroid @ that party. Needs to quit bragging & deliver already, the photo session pic is WEAK:










I don't have a favorite @ this point, total coin toss Actually no, I take that back - I'm hoping for JASLENE right now Her face is distinctive, she doesn't fade into the crowd (like Jael probably would, features just aren't striking enough imo). Yup, Jaslene

I was happy about the elimination pick because at first she was cute when she came out saying "Ooooh Tyra, you're soooo pretty!!" over and over but then her voice and tone of it got annoying. And her afro ponytail was crooked the whole time. And top that off with her not knowing what anti-fur meant. Ugh. I don't know, for me, it was a toss up between Kathleen and the Russian chic to be first to go.

So far I haven't truly picked a single favorite...

*Natasha is latently sexy in a Frederique sort of way, but she can't pose and has no real time presence. Plus, I see her emotionally imploding soon -- the girls hate her, and I think they'll get rid of her.

*There's something appealing about Jael. She's quirky and I love her cavalier attitude (it's like she's permanently high ), but she's a bit passionless, and I wonder if her look is too unusual to be marketable.

*Jaslene takes FEROCIOUS face shots, but I don't like her face as much in real time. Plus I'm not so sure she's as consistent a poser as she insists. (Next week's previews don't look so good for her.)

I didn't like anyone in the runway show. Brittney won the photo shoot, IMHO, but that's only because the others were soooo wack. She had the best props, but she blew that shoot -- she should have totally bathed in all that fur!

All in all, I think the girls are boring this cycle. And I'm glad Kathleen went home. She was downright painful to watch. Never would survive the pressure of the competition... much less the industry.

By the way, I think Nigel's photography was awful. He's usually pretty good, but his crap this time looked like amateur shots doctored by amateur Photoshop techniques.

Brittney reminds me of Kristine McMenomy (spell?) in that fur picture.
