I'm not an expert on horror films, but my fave might be 'Night of the living dead'. Not really scary, such films don't scare me anyway, but nicely directed and everything, very intelligent in its message, too.

I made my dad stay up and watch that with me even though I knew I was going to have nightmares. I was 5 years old. ICONIC movie. Love the original. No, with 5 years that would have scared me for life. Anyway, I really dig the ending, when the only one who kept his sense together, gets shot. The shots of the people burning everything are really unique.

I mean, you start to wonder who the real mosters were when they show people poking and prodding the zombies. They touched more on that in the remake. There's a few. I truely found "The Omen" and "The Exorcist" disturbingly frightening when I watched them in my teens. I thing it was the obvious chilling horror inter-meshed within the context of religion that filled my undercrackers with poo.
"A Nightmare on Elm St. 3: Dream Warriors" holds a significant place for me. It was the first film (other than old black & white clips of Dracula ) to really give me the "Mummy, can I sleep with the light on?" syndrome. I still remember sneakily knicking the video with two of my mates from one of their elder sibling's bedrooms during a quieter day of our summer hols. We rushed it back to another friend's place who was the only one of us with a VCR in his bedroom. After drawing the curtains closed, our excitement slowly turned to pure horror, as we all wondered what the fuck we'd unleashed but continued to watch the craziness We got so scared that at one point we all held hands It was a very confusing moment for us all "..My work is personal, I'm a working person, I put in work, I work with purpose.."

That movie made me remember going to see this one I went to see it with my friend Mel, during one of the many killing scenes I stood up and said, "Awww hell naw, fuck this...that's it I'm leaving". There was a handful of people in the theater and everybody started yelling, "come on stay...stay...don't leave"... I stayed till the end but it wasn't easy.

'The Exorcist' 'Amityville Horror' (the remake that came out a few years ago) 'Jeepers Creepers 2' 'Friday The 13th' Friday the 13th was the shit....I like the use of suspense in my horror, instead of having the killer dominate every scene....then its just a silly slasher flick.... JC2 was cool because those kids got picked by the Creep....but in the first one, I laughed my ass off because it was a classic case of curiosity killing the cat....if they hadn't gone looking for him, he would have left them alone...like mah mama always said....if you go looking for trouble, it'll find you..... served them right!! He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

I remember that one too, like one of my relationships, I have a love hate relationship with horror movies... I love them because they distrub me so much but I also hate them because they distrub me so much but in a good way... it's crazy.

The Exorcist
The Shining The (original) Wicker Man The (original) Night of the Living Dead Nosferatu The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari The Golem Interview with the Vampire The Hunger The (1982) Cat People Nightbreed Some of these were "bad," as film goes. And many aren't scary. But these have been impressive to me for various reasons. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
