Now shes getting surgery for the hanging skin, so all will be fine soon. I mean, its sad and all, but thats what she wanted. I've been looking into LAP band surgery myself, actually. But my BMI is just on this side of being too low... I want it too! I have gone to my doctor a couple of times and he keeps telling me that I am still not fat enough for it.

Why not just get lipo if your gonna do something so drastic?

But the area I hate the most on myself is my arms and lipo doesn't really work well there. I'd rather have overall weightloss and, of course, since I am a lazy bitch this surgery is the most desirable to me. Of course, I'll never end up getting it and I'll just have to work my ass off like most people do. I wish I had an overweight friend that would come push me to work out with her. But all my friends are thin.

I haven't actually seen a doctor yet, but I'm thinking of making an appointment quite soon actually. I'm just not sure if my insurance will cover at my current BMI. If I had any other health problems resulting (high blood pressure, diabetes, etc.) it would, but I don't. |

Speaking of weight loss alternatives. How funny is it gonna be when the autopsy comes back and Trim Spa killed Anna. Not funny, but ironic.

No, of course it's not. I actually used to work out every day...but that was long before having my son. I'm just having a real hard time starting up again. Once I get going I'll be fine and the extra weight will come off. I wonder what's really holding me back...it can't just be laziness.

Dayum.. I feel bad now.. I just mentioned my friends gastric band cos I thought it was wrong she had it done and at such a young age, and now it saddens me to see so many of you saying you wanna have one fitted too.
What happened to the old fashioned way of keeping trim? and as I said before, one bad thing leads to another.. surgery and stuff Its messing with your body and your life.. wake up people!!!!

If you fall in love you can lose weight Now I did that and lost loads I need to do that again But I have no one to fall in love with so I gotta try a different tactic.. I get a buzz outta losing weight and getting fit when I am really into it again, I need to start again but it is possible withOUT surgery..

It used to be that those surgeries were only for the morbidly obese. Whatever happened to people loving themselves for what they are? Or did anybody ever really do that? Our hospital system offers it and you really have to go through quite a bit before you can even "qualify" for it...that includes exhausting every other type of weight loss program (they will tell you to join something like Weight Watchers if you haven't previously) and you have to go through six months of pre-surgery meetings and counseling.

Which is more beneficial? You see the results really fast with pilates. [Edited 3/7/07 7:54am]
