It's not as user friendly as it could be. You kind of have to dig around to find stuff.
It says here that a one pound, fresh pineapple is 227 calories.

To me and everybody else on the org, you look just fine. If you wanna tone up, why not just lift light weights and try to eat right.

Portion control is a must for me. Whenever I have a meal or snack, I take (or prepare) only one serving, and put the rest away. If I make too much, I'll be tempted to have seconds. It's nice to know how much food it takes to add up to 100 calories. That is a very helpful tool.

i would recommend staying away from any of these fad diets. they never work long term. Exercise is always the key to weightloss. Exercise is natural way to speed up your metabolism. Any weightloss program without exercise is a waste of time.

I absolutely have to exercise to lose weight. When I diet, I lose a few pounds at first, but then my body gets "comfortable". When I exercise, I actually see results. My slow metabolism needs a kick in the pants! However, if I excercise, and don't eat healthy, I notice that I tone up but don't lose as much fat.

A healthy diet and exercise really do work, even though it takes time. I stopped looking for a quick fix years ago (especailly after giving into the fad diets, and being very diappointed).

Weight training is a must too. When you build muscle, your body will burn more calories in general. Muscle weighs more than fat, but takes up less space. a pound of muscle is about the size of a tangerine compared to a pound of fat which is about the size of a grapefruit.

Fauxie

Right now I'm just eating 5 small meals a day. Not really for weight loss though. More so that I eat more as when my appetite is poor the last thing I need is to see a huge plate of food.

Here's one, even if you're not going to exercise, just don't drink beer for a month and voila!

Or make your own teas and whenever you feel like a snack just drink tea instead. I'm currently refining a white tea/green tea loose tea mix, with dried ginger and galangal I buy from the market. thumbs up!

cut out white flour and sugar. switch to whole wheat, grains, and a sugar sub like sucralose. drink at least 8 glasses water each day. do at least 45 mins cardio 4 times a week. i just lost 11 lbs in 5 weeks that way without even noticing (without excercising actually, although i walk around a lot for my job and have to lift cases of wardrobe all the time). with steady excercise i'm sure i'd lose more, but i'm so exausted working 12 hour days all i can do is sleep, get up, and start my day all over again. i also drink ridiculous amounts of tea, very filling. and asian varietes like green tea or chinese oolong have both cleansing and fat burning properties. i brew it before i go to bed, then pour it cold into a water bottle the next morning to carry around with me.

i like honey. but i try not to overdose on it outside of my tea regimen---ooh i could drink oceans of tea like nobody's business! i've already had a one liter pot of sage tea, and now i'm moving on to hibiscus tea. i should be drinking baldrian flower tea as i'm about to go to bed, but as beautiful a flower it is when alive it stinks to high hell when dead and brewed...it will knock you out though if a hot cocoa won't lol .

i'm down with splenda, but i understand those who choose not to ingest it (sorry about your poot problem hon, that desn't happen to me lol). but i also like stevia leaves as a sweetener; so mild and yummy cool. but slightly overpriced, dag nabbit mad

No, I'm bein totally serious.

The kids pedi told me, lemme google it, and I'll edit with the info.

Yup he we are. Bottulism. Whatever, same thing, rite?

Honey and babies

Actually, it's not a protein, but a bacteria called botulinum, which can cause a disease called botulism, in infants less than 1 year of age.

Honey, primarily unprocessed (which you can buy at farms, or local honey dealers) may harbor the bug. It strikes babies hard and fast. Initially, the babies infected with this bug become irritable and severely constipated. The picture worsens when their breathing muscles get weak and they no longer can sustain themselves.

I had no idea! I just thought it was hilarious as I think of salmonella as something you get from mayo sitting out in the sun too long. lol

That happens to us all.

Just don't deprive yourself too much.

A little cheating here and there doesn't hurt, and that helps prevent binges.

thats terrible, she wasnt even obese and they fitted her with a band
those things are potentially dangerous
people have died after having them fitted.

This is actually happening a lot.
I know a girl who got gastric who wasn't insanely overweight either.

Thats too bad about your friend, but shrug she wanted to be thin. Now shes getting surgery for the hanging skin, so all will be fine soon.

I mean, its sad and all, but thats what she wanted.

I've been looking into LAP band surgery myself, actually. But my BMI is just on this side of being too low...

GOOD!
brick
Fruitcake.
And I'm not just saying this out of obligation. Like, if you were obese, I simple, just wouldn't respond,
But you do not need surgery.

Ps. I've been looking into breast implants. I decided against it though. Stay natural I say.

I know.. its really worrying.. she is gorgeous and really tall so she never looked big anyway

her problem is psychological and I am guessing thats why she is going to LA cos she couldnt get it done here..

so she gonna be paying a small fortune to get liposuction out in the states
and wants my sis to go with her

I just dont understand why she did that, it wasnt like it was a last resort or anything.. I bet she just got it done at one of these money grabbing private clinics who dont have the best interests of the patient in mind..
