Health question (relating to sugar/fat)

Is it possible to get like a sugar withdrawal if you normally consume a lot every day and then stop? as in chocolate, soft drinks etc

hmmm

yep....most definitely will give you withdrawal symptoms....excited

...but on the flip side, cutting out all sugar intake or cutting down significantly will help you drop weight and body fat.....

so the shakes come with SOME benefit..... lol

thank you everyone grouphug this is the start of me eating healthier again. I saw "The Diet Doctor" for the first time ever the other night and it shocked and inspired me into action - I haven't eaten or drunk anything really really bad since. I had a chicken roll last night but that's probably the worst I've eaten since. I'm not even gonna say the amount of chocolate, coke and crap I normally eat every single day, sufficient to say I am not surprised I'm getting sugar withdrawals lol my head is pounding.

I have a new home, though, a new haircut (had it all chopped off shorter than anyone over here has seen it) and a new determination.

thanks again for your help guys grouphug

Not that I eat a lot of sugar, but I get headaches for so many things that now I can tell if it is telling me it wants caffeine, sugar, water or nicotine! lol

i used to eat alot os sugary snacks - sweets, biscuits etc... But about 6mths ago i went on a major health kick. I train and exercise at least 6 days a week and i tried to cut out alot of the rubbish i was eating. At first i really craved sweet things but believe me , if u can stick with your program it will be short lived. After around a week and a half the craving had died down dramatically. The key is to find a replacement for these things

I tried nuts, not too many just a couple of hand fulls a day

Seeds, u can get these from health food stores and they are mad good for u for a whole host of reason!

Peeled raw carrots! sweeter than a picture of a baby monkey and a tiger cub!

obviously u have fruit too!

it all tastes great too, its just a case of reprograming ya brain

Give it a try, it can be done and it is sooooo worth it. NOW I LOOK MAD FUCKABLE!!!!! lol

p.s. try cut down on sugary drinks and alcohol too - as an alternative drink sparkling water/flavoured waters

however, a little of what u fancy does u good from time to time. u will find though that u dont really want any of the junk food that much anymore anyhow

Technically in terms of true adiction the answer is no. However when your body, in particular you brain, becomes acustomed to certain sugar levels it finds it more dificult to aquire suger by the breakdown of fat, because of this delay or lag, you are likely to experience headaches. However, these are just as likely to go away if you drink a glass of water as if you take on some sugar.
