I loved sewing when I was younger, but haven't done it in years. I have a sewing machine, which I need someone to help me fix, because I have MANY sewing project ideas that I want to start on. I love the idea of making my own clothes, and sewing gifts for my loved ones. I've been watching a lot of sewing shows on TV lately, so it's getting harder to not have my own sewing machine working again.
I also mend clothes by hand every once in a while. Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com

you fold them while wearing, stand up, look... adjust... look again. then verrrrry carefully remove them and pin them try on again and make note of any adjustments needed takes much longer but it can be done i have in mind a sewing project... my parents have a king bed but instead of one big mattress they have two singles. but they are notoriously hard to get fitted sheets for (and for whatever reason my mom insists on using single bottoms instead of king bottoms). i know my dad would love the fleece sheets out now but there is no way i will find twin extra long in those. my plan is to buy a king set, match the fleece in color at a fabric store, then put the fitted sheet on the bed, mark the middle and cut it in two using the store fleece to finish those inside pieces should work, right? then they will come home to a nice fuzzy matching! set of sheets when they return from arizona.
