it's hard to see a parent losing their mental faculties. i had to deal with that all last year. fortunately my mom has made HUGE improvements over the last two months and it's like i have my old mother back. i'm not sure what your situation is...but i hope something similar can happen for you and your ma. | |

My Dad right now is in court session ... the state wants to take Mom and put her in a home because social services says we don't take proper care of her

I am so sorry for you....I live in dread of my Dad succumbing....he just turned 75.....

I'm so sorry to hear of this happening. Watching the changes your mother is going through is hard enough, but to have someone come in and say you're not taking good care of her? I'm so sorry! My grandmother passed away 2 years ago in June. She spent her last months in a nursing home because she had injuries that required 24/7 care and we could not meet those needs. We were at the nursing home every day so that she was not there alone, then we would go home and rest at night. Towards the end of her life she didn't know who we were. It was hard, but it just strengthened my resolve to show her all the love I have/had for her. In this difficult time, just know that you are not alone. From the .org alone there are many people sending you their love.  I'm firmly planted in denial |

My grandfather recently had his first moment of not recognizing one of his grandchildren, and it hit all of us really hard. I can't imagine it being my mother. I'm sorry. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1! | |
