As far as Morrissey goes, I'm in love with his music first and foremost. His lyrical themes and subjects are just icing on the cake. And I don't necessarily think he romanticizes depression. I think he's just expressing his emotions as any artist would. He's like the white man's version of the Blues.

I've been doing a lot of homework about myself and I've come to find that I am "involuntarily celibate". That means for some reason or another I would love to but I just can't get a date or a shag or anything. And it's not because there's anything significantly wrong with me. It's just that it's an unattainable thing for me. My friends and family are getting it left and right, but for some reason it has evaded me in every opportunity. Before my last girlfriend whom I dated from spring to fall of last year, I hadn't dated anyone since Jr. High (9 years). I always wanted to but I was always either shy or fearful of things like infidelity, VD, and stuff. Or I was focused on more important things like education and improving myself as a human being. But I always wondered what it would be like to get laid and fall in love.

Some of you might look at me and think I must be a playboy, but oh, how wrong you are. My mother asked me one time why I didn't have a girlfriend, but I didn't know how to answer. I just did this She thought of that as not normal, but I told her "what is?". Is it normal for Pacific tribes to mutilate and pierce their skin for art or fashion? Your average Westerner wouldn't think so. But that's how it is for that particular culture.

And then I started that thread a while back about how I've given up on finding a significant other. At this point I must say I have stopped trying to find someone since either every girl is taken or I'm just too weird or different from others. I'm probably doing to die a celibate virgin, but hey, it's something I just have to deal with.

Now you see one of the reasons why I'm a Morrissey fan.

But maybe on the .org there's someone who can relate. Or perhaps there are some who are voluntarily celibate for other reasons.

But who is to say that there's hope for me? Not everyone's karma is the same.
