We are inherently human. A philosophical answer to your question would be that good and bad are defined by humans and therefore, largely speaking, are balanced in each of us. They are certainly balanced statistically across populations.

Imago said it quite well that we do what we do to survive and if we turn to animals to look at good/bad we only see necesity. However, What makes us human is our ability to rise above the animal and override our own "animal" instincts to be "good".

It is therefore knowledge of what is good and bad and our decision to make a choice which we would judge as being good or bad not our inherent instict to survive which would probably be judged generally as bad to other civilised human minds.

Well thats a fine way to start the day lol Good question though.

These questions have perplexed me over the years and turned my brain to mush, so to deal with the stress I ran out and got a hooker, then I flocked her like a Christmas Tree biggrin

Ask this question:would more people steal if they could get away with it?

Would it then be called stealing ? Would it then be looked down on ?

If all were able " to getaway with it " would it be viewed as a negitive action that only bad people do ...

hmmm

Ball Dangle Day is March 29th, and i never mind answering a Ball Dangle Day question. Basically its an alternative to the commercialism of Christmas although we that celebrate Ball Dangle Day exchange gifts and have a large meal decoratte our homes.

However the true spirit of Ball Dangle Day is that its shortly after the first day of Spring and you are supposed to run outside and cast a shadow. Drop your pants and let them Dangle thee with the largest Shadow becomes the Grand Pooba and master of ceremony's for that year for Ball Dangle Day. I get choked up just talking about it.

Billy had a mistress down on 'A' and 12th
She was that little somethin' that he did for himself
His own little secret, didn't hurt nobody
Come the afternoon, he'd take her wadin'...

Waist-deep in The Big Muddy
Waist-deep in The Big Muddy
You start out standing, but end up crawlin', buddy

Got in some trouble and needed a hand from a friend of mine
This old friend, he had a figure in mind
It was nothin' illegal, just a little bit funny
He said "C'mon, don't tell me that the rich don't know, sonny
Sooner or later it all comes down to money"

And you're waist-deep in The Big Muddy
Waist-deep in The Big Muddy
You start on higher ground, but end up crawlin', buddy

Well I had a friend said "You watch what you do
Poison snake bites you and you're poison too"

How beautiful the river flows and the birds they sing
But you and I, we're messier things
There ain't no one leavin' this world, buddy
Without their shirttail dirty
Or their hands a little bloody

Waist-deep in The Big Muddy...

If neutral, what makes a person good or bad?

Are actions/deeds or intentions/thoughts more important?

I think most are neutral and try to be the best person they can be.

I agree. It's a misconception that children are "good." They need to be taught not to hurt & steal & lie. Not that they're born bad either, but they don't innately know the difference.

i believe that ppl are inherently good but can be drawn to be bad at any time. i believe thoughts and intentions are important b/c they lead to the actions and deeds someone commits. behind every action- there's a thought behind it.
