My Fam pays me to do their hemming and such ( Mom used to but she no longer has the train of thought to do so )

I sew, both by hand and by machine. I also do embroidery by hand. I learned how to knit about 2 years ago, and then never finished what I was making ( a scarf naturally ). Now I forgot how to do it. I sew but no longer have a sewing machine so it's hand sewing for me. I do embroidery, needlepoint and counted cross stitch too. "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss

Ex-Moderator | I sew by hand and received a sewing machine for Xmas from my parents.
I haven't sewn on a machine in YEARS, though. I haven't pulled it out yet, but I'm getting eager to start practicing. I may need a class or two to warm me up. |

I do embroidery as well...and hand sewn bead work I've only done rudimentary bead work for for costumes and stuff like that. I don't think I have the patience to do anything really intricate. But embroidery is fun for me though. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

My mom was a EXCELLENT seamstress ... though I did not learn from her as I was a teen and didnt see reason then ... I taught myself over the past several yrs get that machine out gurl
