Glad to see a few people suggesting donations--when I worked at the local Domestic Crisis Center many years ago, I saw how most of the women and kids came in with either just the clothes on their backs, or maybe 1 small suitcase, because they usually had to leave home too quickly to bring more. Ever since then, no matter where I live, when I move or need to get rid of clothes I take them to the local DC Center. I make sure to only take nice things though, nothing with holes or too worn, cause just because I'm donating it doesn't mean someone's gonna want my nasty old stuff!

Don't trust the moving company with anything. My parents moved to Indiana last year & it was a nightmare dealing with this (nationallly known) company.

My tip is to pack what you're going to use first LAST.
That way, you'll have all the stuff you'll need for the first few days, without having to unpack everything. Secondly, I've moved more times than I'd like. I usually pack small collectible stuff my self and have the movers pack and ship the rest. I alway make sure I leave a bit of money and beer out so the guys can see it. That way they treat your stuff a little better. Good luck in your move. **************************************************
