Who's seen Norbit?

I'm debating whether or not to go se it tonight or wait for it to come out on video. Is it worth it? Would going to see Reno!911: Miami be a better choice? Or go home and rent Babel?

Oh lord, go home and rent Babel. It may be the weakest of the best picture nominees, but I'm sure it's better than those two comedies you mentioned.

But I haven't seen either one so ignore my advice. razz

I'm in kind of a silly mood and I could use to watch something silly. I know for sure I like Reno 911, but it probably won't play to well as a movie. I've really wanted to see Babel too, now that I've seen it's up for nominations I want to see it more.

I want to see Ghostrider too, and I'm not really into superhero type movies. Maybe it's the whole Nicholas Cage thing. Decisions, decisions. Maybe I'll see both and ditch Reno til it gets more reviews.

My friend saw Ghost Rider and said it was crap. He emailed a bunch of his friends including myself and said to avoid it like the plague.

I don't know. Normally, I'm a sucker for period films, somehow this one hasn't grabbed me, even after learning more about it. If it turns out to be a real tear jerker, a getting down to your very soul type of movie I'd bite.

I heard Number 23 was junk too. lol

But I haven't seen any of these films so my opinion doesn't carry much weight. I tend to prefer movies where reading is involved. shrug

How old are you again?

You might like Brotherhood Of The Wolf. It's French, but there are wolf-monsters and martial arts fighting and stuff. It's one of my favorite movies ever.

i laughed my ass off. it wasn't the funniest movie ever made but it was funny. i could have done without the racially based casting (if you see it, you'll notice the problem immediately). but i thought the movie was really funny.

Babel? That movie was just.....Un-entertaining. I've NEVER seen more people make bad choices in one film. How in the hell did this film get nominated 4 an Oscar?

don't waste movie money on Norbit, it's a "wait until it comes out on dvd" type movie. i saw it on a clear bootleg, it was okay, but a bit corny.

I wish Eddie would make funny movies like "Harlem Nights" and "Coming to America" again. confused

Eh, I didn't go see either one. I got some more "wait and see Norbit on video" advice from other people. And somewhere I heard Reno:911 movie is more like a bad Police Academy series. Tried to rent Babel but they were all gone, so I got The Devil Wears Prada instead. Though it was a cute movie I had some big issues with it, and it had a couple of holes that they tried to flimsily disguised. Size 6 isn't "fat" unless you're a model or in the public eye a lot, but for office personnel, that just nuts.
